Though I note how small that Nine logo is.
I still get the impression that Mosbri Crescent still doesnât like having to use the Nine brand for anything outside of news.

I wonder if the reason for the change of digital transmissions for Nine-NBN in the Port Macquarie/Taree areas is because theyâll be providing a separate advertising feed in line with Prime7 & WIN. That said, they would still share the same local news/sport insert with Coffs/Kempsey/Grafton.

Good point, I assume there will be a new LCN name too eg. Nine Lower North Coast or maybe Nine Manning River given that apart from Newcastle, they donât use town based names.
If they donât already have local areas on the LCN names, my guess would be, from north to south (official local area names in brackets):
- Nine Northern Rivers (Richmond/Tweed - Lismore and Gold Coast)
- Nine North West (North West Slopes & Plains - Tamworth)
- Nine Mid North Coast (Northern Rivers & Mid North Coast - Coffs Harbor and Taree)
- Nine Newcastle or Nine Hunter
- Nine Central Coast

When I was in the area in November last year, the North West feed was labelled âNine New Englandâ.

Correct, and Northern Rivers is labelled as âNine Far North Coastâ.
Is that the actual Northern Rivers and Mid North Coast local area or the one that I decided to label as âNorthern Riversâ (Richmond/Tweed)?
Northern Rivers around Lismore, Ballina, Byron, Tweed, aka the Lismore viewing area.
Nine Newcastle.

The HD bug via NBN looks slightly smaller than the Nine metro one (and also isnât as transparent):
Today there was no coverup on Early and Morning News, but there was on Afternoon News:

Iâm also noticing that the EPG now correctly labels all daytime bulletins as Nine News.
I canât help but think those cover ups are being inserted in Newcastle, as I canât imagine Nine putting those on at the Frenchs Forest playout centre.
no coverups for the past few weeks, only on 4pm as it says âSydneyâ and apparently Lismore and Tamworth et al canât work out whether theyâre bushies or city-dwellers

So in other words, it shouldnât be airing full stop if itâs just for Sydney?
Keep the cover up until a generic one can be established without Sydney. It shouldnât be acceptable to have Sydney outside Sydney if their viewers mattered.
