No more NBN.

Left to see if these go away today too:

  • Small NBN text added next to 9 logo on promos
  • Small NBN text added next to 9 logo on PRG/bug
  • Lineups with NBN logo/VO
  • NBN News
  • Social media channels

Promos and bug gone

NBN News promos still running.

So can we change the name of the thread to Nine Northern NSW yet? :stuck_out_tongue:

I think it’s officially Nine, yep. Just airing NBN News. But this is now Channel Nine.

Thread should be “Nine - Northern NSW” - agree

On my EPG today There is Nine’s Morning News at 11:30. But at 3pm they’ve called it NBN News Now. 4pm NBN’S Afternoon News & at 6pm NBN News so my guess is that the NBN News branding & NEWS cover ups will remain although the NBN bug has been removed from the Today Show this morning.

Small NBN bug still appearing on Today Extra.

  • 9NBN
  • Nine NNSW

Big Doggggggie!!! :stuck_out_tongue: …but seriously until the NBN brand disappears from the news completely we should still call this thread 9NBN.

On my 80 it is

Interesting that there are differences within NBN’s sub markets.

NBN survives (for now) on the Central Coast. Interesting, noticed just now the LCN name is Nine-NBN Central Coast. Not sure when that was introduced.

The mod/admin team will be looking at the naming of this and other threads over the coming days to ensure we have a consistent approach.

In the meantime it’ll remain as 9NBEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNN

So, any reason for the differences between different markets? Seems odd.

NBN News coverup lives on (both Nine Newcastle and NBN-Nine Central Coast)

Presumably the bug is staying (for the time being) in the overlap markets, just to distinguish between the capital-city Nine from Sydney/Brisbane and the NBN Nine.

Probably same deal with the news branding in the overlaps; to have two sets of Nine News, with the choice of whether you get Peter Overton (say) or the Lobb & Beyersdorf team depending on whether you hit 9 or 8 on your remote, may save the NBN News branding for just a little longer.

What’s there to decide? Official EPG says “Nine” and thus it should be Nine.
