Neither has 9NBN :stuck_out_tongue:

Okay. But we aren’t talking about radio.

Every time a TV channel refreshes their graphics, they do it from a certain date. Existing promos aren’t redone

Absolutely but traffic should have deleted all redundant promos etc. they’ve done it with IDs, replacing with a 5 and 10 second NRL promo.

Noticed also the footy sponsorship boards say “Nine’s NRL” instead of “NBN.”

Given they’ve still got NBN News using the old logo, it would be worth doing more to tie the two brands together.

I think they should have those initial logo displays animated to show the transition, like this crappy mock:

Call it ‘Nine’ when reading it out, but show visually the logo transition.

Brilliant. Would have been great to use that for a few months before settling on the 9NBN brand full time.

Even Prime named there local news Prime7. NBN seems all over the place.

The one I was referring to was a full screen, similar to 9’s 4pm open

I’ll have to keep an eye out for it. I’m up from Sydney for a few days visiting mum and dad.

it’s tricky because they don’t do live crosses every day and it’s a 0.5 second screen transition. VERY tricky to catch.

Perhaps someone can explain to me,

So if I was watching Channel 8 I’d be watching “NBN”?
If I was watching the same program on 80 I’d be watching “9HD” (with a token “NBN” on the logo) ? And supposedly no mention of just “NBN” or appearance dotted NBN logo is allowed?

Are program promos simulcast across 8 and 80 with a common logo?

Their website still has the dotted NBN logo. So is it branded “NBN” or pronounced “9NBN”? I don’t watch NBN obviously but just observing the use of branding across online and from what I gather from here about its SD and HD channels it seems very inconsistent.

you’re watching Nine with a small NBN logo to the right hand side. All promos are “on Nine” with a small NBN logo to the side.

When watching news, the signposts, community noticeboard, it still says “NBN” (signposts has the Nine logo with small NBN to the side)

It’s a bit ridiculous frankly.

I swear I just saw an ad on 9NBN that was for an exhibition at the Newcastle Museum, between 8th November 2014 till 1st February 2015.

That’s only 13 months late, well done 9NBN.

Interesting. We didn’t get the extra lines here in Sydney so maybe the above pic could be proof that NBN are still churning out locally generated graphics?

That really is a ‘Disturbing Scene’ seeing all those lines there.

I’m off to see my psychologist.

It has started on the website.

Thanks for this!

Very interesting.

Murrurundi uses the same UHF 36 frequency as Sugarloaf (and also WIN Wollongong), and the interference issue suggests to me it’s being fed off air (probably from UHF 49 at Rossgole near Scone).

But the thing that perplexes me is IF the cause of the inteference is the “input” signal at the Mt Helen site, then I don’t see why a rescan is required - unless NBN is moving from UHF 36 also, which would seem unnecessary in this case.
