Nine Entertainment Co

It means Stan CEO Martin Kugeler has been made redundant. The press release did not mention anything about him or acknowledge his work at Stan.

Nine chief marketing officer Liana Dubois and Stan chief executive Martin Kugeler will depart as the company streamlines itself into three divisions: publishing, streaming, and broadcast and marketplaces.

I was mentioning that because Michael Healy will remain Director Television and Malone in Radio.
So even though they are saying they are simplifying things - these heads remain so it just adds another layer of management.

SMH are running it too

This Mumbrella article might help for those who don’t have access to the above pywalls.

Sorry, should have said that I saw it first on Mumbrella.

No need to apologise, it was confirmed in their own paper which I posted below your comment.

A quick google search would’ve shown the same in multiple places.

That’s not former NSW minister media/comms and prior that Ten Federal Political Reporter (including the infamous 2010 election) and before that Ten Sydney reporter is it? If so, didn’t even realise he’d returned to Ten. His Nine role is quite substantial, that’s usually an company exec role isn’t it, I’m guessing essentially replacing Victoria Buchan?

Correct - but surprised you couldn’t confirm this for us Sully, given how much you know of his history?

Quick google search would’ve netted an answer

I was a 95% Channel Ten watcher at that time, particularly Ten News, no exaggeration and those here should know from my early years circa 2012 on MS. So I know of him, yes. And years ago I randomly just wondered what happened to him and Googled his LinkedIn and it said he was working in state politics comms.

He also covered the early Julian Assange developments for the network from their Parliament House bureau.

Boyce replaced Brad Hodson at the end of 2009, a long-time federal political reporter, who went back to 2004 and before that Perth (of Paul Kadak era). He went on to become a prominent producer, including Breakfast or Studio 10 or Wake Up, might even still be with Paramount AU? Was also very close with the late Chamaine Dragun.

According to the article, the company’s new streamlined leadership team will consist of:

Acting Chief Executive Officer: Matt Stanton
Managing Director – Streaming & Broadcast: Amanda Laing
Managing Director – Publishing: Tory Maguire
Chief Digital Officer and Managing Director – Marketplaces: Alex Parsons
Director – Regulatory, Public Affairs and Communications: James Boyce
Acting Chief Financial Officer: Graeme Cassells
Acting Chief Sales Officer: Matt James
General Counsel & Company Secretary: Rachel Launders
Chief People Officer: Vanessa Morley

Capital Brief reporting that talks for Gordon to offload his NNSW tv license to Paramount have progressed, which would give him more influence at Nine converting his indirect stake effectively owning about 25% of the business and make him the dominant shareholder.

Media billionaire Bruce Gordon is closing in on a deal that would allow him to strengthen his grip over Nine Entertainment as investors and executives jockey to influence the company’s future.

The sale of the licence, if finalised, would pave the way for Gordon to convert equity swaps in Nine held with Macquarie Group into shares, which in turn would significantly increase his voting power in the company and potentially strengthen his case for an additional board seat.

Heh heh - “obscure”.

It is the largest regional market in the country lol.

To the journalist, if it’s beyond the eastern suburbs of Sydney, they don’t give a shit. Heck, the western suburbs may as well be destroyed by a nuclear weapon and looks like a scene from Threads.
