Women’s ashes was on nine this morning but nine was disrespectful yet again and didn’t show the presentation of the women’s ashes they just cut the program straight away not even any interviews

I was watching the Today show this morning and they were speaking to Mark Taylor who was in England and with the Womens Ashes finishing this morning too and Mel Jones still being in England, my bet is that the coverage will be hosted FROM England with the potential that they have their own broadcast (commentary) too. I would assume that Todd Woodbridge would still be over in England from Wimbledon.

Wimbledon finished two and a half weeks ago. It’s a pretty big assumption.

If Nine was to have its own commentary, they would have a song and dance about it. They haven’t.

Heard it here first:
CONFIRMED
Todd Woodbridge is hosting from the studio but Mark Taylor and Mel Jones are in England

And Ian Healy and Lisa Sthalekar are also in the studio

Will likely use Sky graphics during play, they weren’t given a clean feed for the toss.

Good to hear cricket back is on nine. I can’t see it over here in Europe but I’ll find a place that has Sky.

Sky has better graphics and commentary than anything with so over here so it’s sensible and cheaper for nine not to have their own coverage like last time. They have a presence on the ground which is good enough.

Why is a former tennis player hosting?

FYI, Sky’s commentary team for the 1st Ashes test is: Mike Atherton, Nasser Hussain, Ian Botham, Shane Warne, Isa Guha, David Lloyd, Andrew Strauss, Ian Ward, Kumar Sangakkara and David Gower.

Some really good names there. Actually a very formidable team.
