The third men’s Ashes test at Headingley (July 6-10) will take place in the middle of 2023 Wimbledon championships, which start on July 3 and finish on July 16. Nine has the broadcast rights to both Ashes and Wimbledon.
This is the last time the women’s Ashes will be played in the same season as the men’s. The next edition will be staged in Australia in 2025-26, one year before the next men’s Ashes Down Under.
A three-game ODI tour of Ireland will follow the Women’s Ashes, with dates and venues yet to be revealed.
The ICC also announced today that the final of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship will be held at The Oval in June 2023, while Lord’s will stage the final of the next edition, in 2025.

Australia will begin their campaign on Saturday, October 22 in a re-match of the last edition’s finals against New Zealand at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The five-time ODI World Cup champions won their first T20 title last year beating the Black Caps in the final.
Nine’s Wide World of Sports coverage of the tournament will be hosted by Roz Kelly, joined by former Australian captain Mark Taylor, Australian representative across all three forms of international cricket, Callum Ferguson, as well as specialist T20 bowler and former Australian international Steve O’Keefe.
Presumably, this also means they’ll have to use the ICC/Star feed intro instead of making their own intro with the classic theme music (I can see the complaints on Twitter already)
Well if they were willing to spend the money, they could redo the graphics for the market. Obviously they aren’t.
But not unusual. I am pretty sure watching Seven’s cricket telecasts around 2005? from England they had the Sky graphics which would have had the same issue. Evidently, not seen as important in the scheme of things.
