Transformers character Optimus Prime received the lifetime achievement award at this year’s Kids Choice Awards.
It appears Nickelodeon Australia will be one of the first international versions of the Network to enter, “The Splat Zone”, as they updated their Facebook profile picture to the new-style splat motif yesterday:
Looks like Foxtel is losing more content Nickelodeon and Nick Jnr
After a long and successful partnership in Australia with subscription television service provider Foxtel, Nickelodeon content will move in-house within Paramount ANZ’s extensive content portfolio across free-to-air channel Nickelodeon, BVOD service 10 Play and SVOD service Paramount+.
A Foxtel spokesman told @Blackbox
The way in which audiences view content has changed over the last few years. With the rise in on-demand viewing and streaming through the growing number of third-party apps integrated into our Foxtel offering, we have been on a journey of evolving our channel mix.
With a diverse pipeline of content coming to on-demand via our long-term studio partners from around the world, third-party apps integrated into our Foxtel offering and our growing focus on premium Australian Originals, we have made the decision to make changes to our partnership with Viacom.
These changes will see Nickelodeon and Nick Jr move to a new home on 10Play and Paramount+ integrated into our Foxtel IQ set top boxes from 1 August 2023, joining a growing suite of third-party integrated apps including Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, YouTube, ABC Kids, SBS On Demand, 9Now, YouTube Kids and Vevo.
Hmm, wonder what this will mean for Sky here in NZ as well. Could they potentially run a split feed like they used to back in the late 2000s?
Probably not. I’d say the Nickelodeon Australia & New Zealand feed we have now either shuts down completely or becomes exclusive to New Zealand.
HUGE congrats to @RobertIrwin who has won the Aussie Legend of the Year award at the Nickelodeon 2024 Kids' Choice Awards! 🐊💚 pic.twitter.com/XoUhmjm2p2
