Nickelodeon (formerly 10Shake)

Wish they’d permit new threads for new developments rather than just continuing as mega thread. Indeed this thread begins with 10 supposedly planning to launch “MTV Australia”.

The changeover to Nickelodeon looks to have occurred earlier than when the watermark appeared with some idents running and the orange slat appearing on top of the 10 Shake watermark.

I can report that Foxtel has Nickelodeon on channel 168. Probably just SC10 and 10 areas though.

I think that was for a transitional period.

Gave the new Nickelodeon a watch today and I must say, they have made a really good after school lineup, leagues better than what 10Shake had on offer, with 3-4 eps of SpongeBob, and various other good shows with recent episodes. The new nick@nite is also good, with some upcoming movies, CatDog, and Ren & Stimpy for the adult audience. Lets hope 10 don’t fuck it up in 2-3 weeks time

EDIT: just noticed two “To Be Announced” slots this friday from 7:30pm to 8:30, and Saturday from 8:30pm to 9:30, am guessing something other than Graham Norton?, 10Shake used to run that tuesday’s The Cheap Seats episode in that slot, but with the new nick@nite, maybe there will be something else to fill that time slot?

HYBPA will still be aired on the 7:30pm to 8:30 on nick@nite, the same slot as the former 10Shake.

Curious if this line-up, promo style etc is consistent with what was airing on Foxtel before the move to FTA if anyone knows?

Mostly yes, although content was split between two 24 hour channels on Foxtel. Promos now match the US rebrand and the return of nick@nite marks a return to a shared format last seen on Foxtel in the late 1990’s/Early 2000’s.
