I tremble to think what a monstrosity of a watermark 10Nickelodeon is going to look like!
Wonder what does the future lies for the pay-tv channel on 701 since it’s gonna be broadcasted on 2 different feeds comes Aug 1.
It’s being discontinued as mentioned in here.
It’s not: it’s just Nickelodeon. The logo above was a mock.
It’s being closed as mentioned multiple times above.
Wonder how long until other Paramount shows/movies will no longer be licenced to rival networks to 10, if that’s what they and their USA bosses decide - would 10 still pay, is that how it would work, as it was discussed recently it’s still important for money making and some studios are now going back into (i.e.) content supply agreements.
I meant in reality, come 1 August.
I would say MTV (10s forth multi) will be announced soon.
Could well be.
Be nice if WIN finally added Shake in Northern NSW
This arrangement works for Paramount global. Foxtel would be paying minuscule subscriber fees and now Paramount can keep all the advertising revenue and pump out all the content on 10play and P+ as well. This works in the children’s content space as others have mentioned the linear audience is not just there if that’s the only offering.
So 10 Shake will become 10 Nick.
Just Nickelodeon. No 10 attached to it
Still, it sounds good.
It really should be the following
10
10 Peach
10 Bold
10 Nickelodeon
10 MTV
So does Foxtel also lose Nick Jr?
so whats happening? 10 ShakeNick from November 41st?
Where is our own @nickatnights?
somehow this thread always turns into a mess
Almost glad that 10 are happy to breakaway from the unnecessary uniformity of having 10 associated with each channel name, Nickelodeon is strong enough on its own as a brand for consumers.
Wonder if we’ll see any other channels launched, or name changes? MTV? Paramount Network? Channel 5 UK had a local version of the latter until it rebranded to 5Action in Jan 2022.
Fairly evident the company is trying to shift away from the archaic pay tv model, following the announcement of the rebrand in the US to Paramount+ with SHOWTIME to align with their streamer and broader strategy.
