This question comes up every single time there is a new channel or a change and the answer is always the same - maybe you do, maybe you don’t, it depends on the TV.

I think “used to be”. These days channels can come and go or be replaced or whatever. There’s no buzz about a new channel coming along these days IMO. They are so disposable now

Probably the safest option, but I still would’ve swapped 10 HD to LCN 10 and the SD channel to 1.

I prefer the HD channel on 1 so it is just a single button press on the remote unlike 10, 20, 70 ,90

I’d probably go for “10 Reruns with Neighbours” myself. Aside from that 6.30pm weeknightly soap, will there be any new programming on 10 Peach after the kids shows (or at least those which haven’t been axed) move over to 10 Shake?
…would’ve been to give 10 Peach LCN-12, leaving the allocations of all other services unchanged.
Again, why are they messing with the LCNs of the HD channel and 10 BOLD?! Their current positions should’ve been left well alone, especially BOLD which has been on LCN-1 (in various forms of course) for over a decade.

I’d say they didn’t want the new channel to be placed after the shopping channels on 16. Better to be adjacent to the number one multichannel 10 Bold.

You can reprogram your channels. I’ve reprogrammed the order of my tv do 10 is the HD channel, 2 is ABC HD, 7 is 7HD and so forth.

Yes. I’ve done that with my Panasonic. Though not all brands allow this and many aren’t aware of or technically minded enough to make the changes.

10Bold was on 12 and still will be. There’s no need for it on 1 and 12.

i get what your saying, but i find it annoying that WIN GOLD, Sky News on WIN and TVSN are all MPEG-4 SD (576i). I would love them to change them first to MPEG-2 SD or MPEG-2 HD for older TV’s, but in essences, yes gold and tvsn should be disbanded from there LCNs for sure. I don’t mind SNOW at all on Digital TV, that saves me time turing on the Foxtel to Channel 603.
