I’m quite surprised that Three now still has the edge and the Breeze on live stream and the old Three Now logo
Well when Discovery acquired Three, they also acquired both The Edge TV and The Breeze TV. They’re pretty much keeping them on there for two main reasons I think:
- It’s automated, so it’s cheap to run.
- The licensing agreement with Mediaworks still stands (similar to Bravo).
So really, it’s just a matter of not bothering on the part of Discovery.
Now the old Three Now logo still being there, see sentence above.

When are Newshub going to start playing their reports in HD? Many are such poor quality it’s like watching a plus 1 channel

A lot of gear needs replacing before this can happen you’ll see some Because It Matters stories in HD but a lot of work goes on behind the scenes to make those work, Newshub Nation has HD edit suite that can handle HD projects fine still being rolled out. Most of the new gear where possible is HD ready but its a mammoth project.

Yes, Discovery own the two music channels but I believe they are still operated by MediaWorks
