I wonder what RTQ7 Rockhampton used as it’s news theme in the late 1970s-early 1980s? (SEVENEWS), since not much stuff from that station can be found.

Does anyone have any idea what’s the theme in the opening sting for most breakfast ABC Radio programs? Tried to shazam it but no dice. Is it part of an ABC-composed soundtrack? If so that could probably explain why it’s non-shazamable.
I liked it. But more so the ABC news bulletin version and not the News24 version as I found it weak in comparison.

I also wonder what ITQ8 Mt. Isa used for their news theme in the late 1970s-early 1980s as well?, they carried a 5-min bulletin on weekdays and a full 30-min bulletin on weekends. In addition to carrying National Nine News (QTQ9) from Brisbane and Brisbane current affairs Today Tonight (ITQ was one of the few QLD regions to carry it back then along with RTQ7, MVQ6 and North Queensland Television (TNQ7/FNQ10)).

I can’t remember where this Alan Hawkshaw piece of library music was used. It’s so familiar.
I’m unsure, such a shame he passed last month.

I’m a fan of the new ABC News Daily (Previously The Signal) theme. The first ep had a thank you for a Daniel Golding for the theme but can’t find more info than an ABC page.
