(Daily Telegraph editor Ben) English has taken some action. News Corp tracked down the source of the leak to Crikey that the operation was known internally as “undercoverjew” and he was asked to resign.
A spokesperson for News Corp said: “Tonight The Daily Telegraph accepted the resignation of a staff member.”
A source said that newsroom staff were appalled by the incident and are now more upset there appeared to be zero consequences for anyone involved except the leaker.

The Australian’s Media Diary reports that former Media section editor Nick Tabakoff has stepped back from his 35-year journalism career due to ill health. Tabakoff returned to The Australian in 2017 as associate editor in what was his third stint with the paper, and took on the additional role of writing Media Diary in 2018.

News Corp has acquired Melbourne company Vapormedia, the technology group behind fantasy sports franchise SuperCoach.
Commercial details haven’t been released.
SuperCoach currently runs games across AFL, NRL, BBL and NBL and the acquisition opens opportunities to open new games for the NBA, NFL and Formula 1.
