This was in response to a MEAA statement expressing concerns about job losses at the publisher.
Nine claimed The Age had more combined readers (print and digital) than Herald Sun. https://www.smh.com.au/business/companies/the-age-has-record-readership-month-20201130-p56j0b.html

News Corp has confirmed that from tomorrow (December 1), the business sections of Herald Sun, The Daily Telegraph, The Advertiser and The Courier-Mail will be âpowered by The Australianâ and published from Tuesday to Saturday, with a single centralised business news desk called the Australian Business Network.
No business stories on Mondays?
There have been no business stories in Herald Sun on Mondays since last year, just a Smart Money section. If you want them you will have to subscribe to The Australian or buy a copy.
Interesting precedent, I personally think the tabloids donât have as much influence as people give them credit for (The Tele maybe the only exception albeit Iâd argue this influence is more from the AM shock jocks than from the Tele itself) and they are essentially worthless at this point. As for a buyer, I canât imagine SevenWest will want them even for a peppercorn, theyâre struggling enough as it is without buying out even more unprofitable old media.
News Corp will be betting that, along with Sky News, The Australian will sustain its clout in Canberra without the tabloids
Theyâve been working very hard with Sky and its social media clout this year, I suspect itâs starting to click that they even if the linear network rates poorly, that if they work hard on dominating social media that they can still influence Canberra with it.
Those comparison websites are useless, I think. Iâve got a better deal negotiating on the phone myself.
The websites are funnels for personal information, especially phone numbers for insurance telemarketing or fronts for insurance conglomerates to provide the illusion of choice (i recall one, I think compare the market where all but 1 or 2 insurers were owned by budget direct).
James Murdoch âblastsâ Fox News and News Corp.
James Murdoch is no longer employed by News and Fox, but as far as I know he is still a beneficiary of the Murdoch family trust that has effective control of Fox Corporation and News Corporation.
Edit: Yes, James is still part of the family trust, along with Rupert, Lachlan, Prudence and Elizabeth. The biggest asset the Murdoch family trust owns is shares in Disney.
Herald Sun posted this notice on its website today regarding the digital edition.
The Herald Sun digital print edition has been affected by a technical outage.
A fault at a third party provider has meant some readers have been unable to download the edition.
Technical teams are working to restore the edition as soon as possible.
The Herald Sun apologises for the disruption.
The latest news, sport and opinion â including the leading articles published in Mondayâs digital edition â can be read at heraldsun.com.au and in our app.
The technical issue started yesterday and I was unable to read the digital editions of Sunday Herald Sun or its sister papers until last night. The problem returned this morning.
Also today, Herald Sun launched a new regional news site The Bendigo News, headed by journalist Zizi Averill from The Daily Mercury at Mackay.
Whatâs this all about? Surely heâs being sarcastic.
Yes. Maybe he doesnât want to write anything negative about a fellow News Corp employee.
PVO occasionally trolls on Twitter - that tweet is a fine example of that
