The last day for many News Corp employees, including journalists and printing staff.
Will the printing plants in affected rural areas be sold or demolished? I feel sorry for the printing staff.
I canāt wait to see a āJust Fuck Off And Die Already Rupertā cakeā¦
Actually, I think we should have a national holiday the day he dies. Everyone get on the beers!
Andrew Bolt probably believes that Rupert Murdoch is immortal.

The Australian reports today that its owner News Corp has recorded a big jump in digital subscriptions, after many regional papers stopped printing over the weekend. I think itās because people living in these areas reluctantly paid for the subscriptions so they could continue to get local news.
I saw in the last edition of The Morning Bulletin (Rockhampton) on Saturday that News was offering a 2 month free trial of the digital subscription and if you paid for a 12 month subscription they gave you a free Samsung Galaxy tablet. Iām assuming these would have helped bump up subscription numbers but remains to be seen for how long.
If they are going to those lengths, wait for some drops in subscription once those periods finish.
Puts a dampener on the positive claims.
Yandina is in the Sunshine Coast region and was used to print papers like Sunshine Coast Daily and Fraser Coast Chronicle. Murarrie plant in Murarrie in Brisbaneās east was used to print Quest suburban newspapers and The Courier-Mail.
The Yandina site is a modern, well maintained site. What a waste.
Makes you wonder why the investment was put into it if the writing was on the wall years back?
Didnāt The Age do that too? Invested in that massive facility out at Tullamarine a few years back which then became redundant when they switched from broadsheet to tabloid size?
News Corp giving away more newspapers, at IGA. But if you are just buying cancer sticks or lotto you wonāt get a free paper.
The Adelaide Advertiser isnāt on the list.
at least they know what their product is worth
The new-look Stellar will be available in South Australia and Tasmania for the first time. The Sunday Mailās U on Sunday will be retained with more Stellar content.
What a partisan headline in Sunday Telegraph (not to mention the insensitivity of using āscorcherā).
Of course those lefties at the ABC were up to their old trick of reporting based on the vote count
