Michael announced this morning that he will be away from News Breakfast for three weeks,two weeks holidays and one week hosting 7.30.
He mentioned that during his absence Ben Knight and Paul Kennedy will be filling in for him.

The team was self isolate for a few days until test results return.

Madeleine Morris, Ben Knight and Georgie Tunny step in to News Breakfast
Madeleine Morris, Ben Knight and Georgie Tunny will present News Breakfast from tomorrow while our usual team of Lisa Millar, Michael Rowland and Nate Byrne self-isolate for a few days.
Our News Breakfast floor manager found out this afternoon that his wife has tested positive for COVID-19. He has now been tested as well and, while we wait for his results, ABC management has decided the team that works closely with him should not come into work.
Every health precaution is being taken at the ABC’s Southbank premises, including deep cleaning.
This goes above and beyond the requirements of the Health Department, but the ABC wants to take the extra precaution for the wellbeing of everyone who works here, and in the interests of public safety.
Our thoughts are with our employee and his wife at this worrying time and we are giving them all the support we can.
Agreed. There’s a good depth of talent in the ABC to cover News Breakfast. Ben’s been great the last few times he’s filled in for Michael.
