News Breakfast

Challenging place to give an interview with the number of flies.

News B is again following the Elvis train to Parkes but the link was very poor at times.

Sunrise were on another carriage.

Wasn’t it lovely to see Max Tillman able to stand up straight, for once? He’s obviously very tall, and usually seems to be crouching to stay in the field of view with shorter interviewees.

And sorry to see Luke Siddham Dundo vanish. Think he could have done well - reminded me of Tony Armstrong, without the cynicism.

And they seem hellbent to make sure no matter when you tune in, you’ll know about it.

It’s one of the two only ticker items after the conclusion of midnight bulletin. The other is “For latest news on Vic. fires and Cyclone Koji tune into your local ABC Radio”.

So ABC News couldn’t simulcast either ABC VIC Local Radio or ABC NQ Local Radio

They are both running national programming with only regular updates every hour.

So most of the content isn’t suitable.

I guess they only did it during Alfred because it affected a metro area.

Darwin was running local content (even if it was horrid) during Fita and they didn’t simulcast.

NB live from the fire zone with a dodgy opener - camera took a while to pan to the correct hosting pair.

Emma and Nate opened with Stephanie Ferrier providing details of the fire impact.

According to epg Lorna Dunkley is co hosting wb next weekend

Has she co-hosted with Thomas Otri (?) before? IMO that would be a better duo than what is currently used…

Not 100% sure but most likely, Lorna is co hosting with Fauziah

Good to see News Breakfast get out of the Studio.

I expect we will see more OB this year around Australia.

ABC Weekend Breakfast’s live TV fail

That moment arrived Saturday, on the ABC’s Weekend Breakfast, when co-host Fauziah Ibrahim was mid-interview with Sir Tim Berners-Lee, the English computer scientist best known as the inventor of the World Wide Web.

The conversation, conducted via what appeared to be a Zoom feed, was ticking along smoothly – until, mid-answer, the screen abruptly cut to another man.

He looked confused. Then alarmed. Then instantly aware that he was, somehow, on Australian morning television.
