Yeah- ratings were down last year. Dipped more when Lisa left and then down more over summer (when they had BTN hots etc). This year, they’ve improved on summer, but only back to where they were at the end of last year. A few days of better than average numbers for the floods though recently.
IIRC they also had a spike during the last federal election campaign, so I would imagine there is a chance they could experience another one this year.

They’re still persisting with her. She must have some incriminating photos against someone higher up at the ABC. Her performance reviews mustn’t be very thorough or accurate given she still has an on air role.

The Weekend Breakfast combination of Fauziah and Kath continues to be thwarted, with Kath having to bow out this weekend, and almost certainly next weekend also. She has been replacing Hamish MacDonald on Sydney Morning Radio last week, and will be filling-in for him until he returns, which fills up her score-card for the week.
So it appears that Sydney Morning Radio takes precedence over National Weekend Breakfast TV … interesting? Or maybe it’s easier to get suitable TV presenters than radio presenters? In any case, the ABC continues to use Kath as the go-to-girl to solve it’s staffing issues … now she’s doing it across Radio/TV.

Maybe or maybe that’s what she prefers to prioritise.
She’s not the first and she won’t be the last to work in radio and television at the same time. There are a number of network television presenters also doing radio: Deborah Knight, Chris Bath, Waleed Aly, Hamish MacDonald, David Campbell and until recently Tarsh Belling. Not to mention others from the past like Carrie Bickmore, Dave Hughes, Steve Price etc.

I have to say (even though early in the year) the team has been somewhat consistent to date and even when it comes to fill in presenters.

All this money spent on a flashy new set in Parramatta, but haven’t even invested in some OB equipment.
I thought it was nice that they had the ABC logo behind them.
