Scraping a barrel when you’ve got BTN hosts from the now defunct ABC Me hosting your flagship breakfast show.
Interesting how they have got a fill in news presenter. The role hasn’t been filled in previously when Emma has been cohosting or covering other roles.
20 Jan
US Presidential inauguration is that week.
You’d expect all the brekkie teams will have their A-teams back, either in studio or in Washington D.C
I guess if they are just as talented as the abc news presenters. Would be good exposure for them too!
And there are a number of people from BTN who have gone on to do other on air roles, both inside and outside of the ABC
I don’t watch Weekends often and didn’t watch much, but Lorna looked far more relaxed and laid back with Michael
Also, is only the 7pm news coming from Parramatta? Are there any plans to move everyone from Ultimo?
My understanding is they are planning to move one NC shift over once everything is fully up and running.
Other than that, everyone is staying put at Ultimo.
Monday (13.01.2025):
Emma Rebellato and BTN’s Amelia Moseley are hosting this week. Thomas Oriti from ABC NewsRadio is reading the news updates. This is the first time presenting on the show for both of them.
Catherine Murphy is starting her stint as sport presenter this week. She is live from Melbourne Park for the Australian Open.
Back to 6am starts and back from the news desk this week.
I still find it a bit weird seeing Lorna on the ABC because I remember her on Sky News in the UK. She was there for years. Great presenter.
Glenday without a tie looks odd and rather forced. Would look more natural with one on. Nate also needs to stop dressing like a male kinder teacher.
Glenday looks fine sans tie, and Nate has always dressed in his own unique way - neither inhibits the way they do their job.
They both look fine, to me.
On the one hand, it’s refreshing to see males being scrutinised for what they wear for a change. On the other hand, both seem to do their jobs perfectly well in their current attire.
FFS.
What does that even mean? He looks forced?
How does someone “look forced”?
