I haven’t been listening the last couple of days & I haven’t heard anything on air either, but NEW FM’s web site has been updated to reflect the changes with Nic & Joel on Breakfast & The Novo’s in the afternoon.

I’m surprised they didn’t keep The Novo’s branding for the new breakfast duo.
Instead, going with this branding (which isn’t too bad IMO).

I’m sitting at Broadmeadow Maccas, and there are some kids being fed before their Starstruck performance (Northern NSW DOE approved waste of time) and noticed that 2HD have changed their logo a bit on the back of the hoodies poor parents are pretty much forced to buy.
I’d take a picture but they’re being worn by kids and I’m in enough trouble as it is.

It looks a little bit different to the one on the website.. slightly more left leaning, the one on their website is more right leaning.. (perhaps depends on an announcer’s politicial views?!) And this one does mention 90.5

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s just the designer trying to copy the 2HD logo as they might not have had the correct/most appropriate version of the logo.
I doubt it’s a formal logo change for 2HD.
I would believe that, if it wasn’t on every single other Star Struck piece. They also have the correct New FM logo, so it appears this is what Sandgate has sent through.
So yep, they’ve probably sent the wrong logo through.
Wouldn’t surprise me, being the Super wRong Network when it comes to admin.

Is “JR’s” role now weekends?
I haven’t heard him on a weekday for a while now but hear him regularly on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Surely he would have other roles at the station.
JR works across the network on weekdays.

Not meaning to complain, but why does Hit 106.9 (NXFM) repeat Tommy and Carrie and some other duo back to back between midnight and 6am. Surely they could music on random and use a controller to insert advertising breaks.
I’m at work 3 nights in that slot and end up turning thr music down and crsmking up my music - very different to what commercial radio plays these days

Not as bad as Triple M who play the “best bits” of the Adelaide breakfast show and repeats of LiSTNR podcasts overnight.

I’ve been too busy with work & other things to post before, but I’m wondering if 2HD 1143 AM is on lower power than normal or using the backup transmitter?
The AM radio in my work Ford Everest is probably the best AM radio I’ve ever had/used, (surprising in this day & age), it has no trouble pulling in very distant AM stations day or night & up until about maybe 6-8 weeks ago I had no trouble listening to 2HD AM all the way into Sydney, but now I’ve found South of about the Tuggerah interchange on the M1 it gets interference & a sort of hetrodyne whistle, so I tune to another station, usually 2MN as it has no issues & while it has some noise in places generally I can listen quite easily to 2NM all the way into Sydney & still listening when I pull into the car park at work at Artarmon. Because of this & the coverage of 2NM I’ve found myself listening to & enjoying it quite a lot recently, you won’t get that day in, day out coverage on FM if they convert, but that’s another issue.
The radio in works Mitsubishi Outlander has always had this interference whistle in 2HD across the Central Coast as it’s a pretty crappy radio, but the radio we had in the Ford Ranger & the Ford Everest never did, but now the Everest does, so I can only think the 2HD signal is weaker than it was & is now getting more interference from something else mixed in stronger?
Don’t suppose you’ve noticed any changes with 2HD AM across the Central Coast or further South of recent with your regular M1 trips @Radiohead?
