I remember they stopped streaming when APRA/AMCOS wanted to charge extra fees for both FM and streaming.
If you look through this forum you can find a streaming link which was never removed and still works, but itās not made public on their website and radio apps etc.

Iām curious as to why marketing at Newfm are obsessed with boats. Is this a Bill thing? Theyāre giving away tickets to a boat party at the moment.
Giving away cruises left right and centre, pretty sure they gave an actual boat away a few years back as well.
Itās as bad as hit with Alphabucks.

Itās their promotions director. Apparently, he believes he was on the Titanic in another life. So, everytime there is cruise ship into Sydney or Newcastle - he always goes on a holiday. Weird.

The boat they gave away was like a tinny. Weak marketing promo.

Content, Promotion and to a lesser extent Sales all have a say in the direction of a good radio outfit. They work hand in glove.
Sadly at a station like New, itās a little more of a clique from what Iāve been told.

2NUR happens to be one of my favorite stations to stream but lately the stream is almost missing a channel of audio.

Was I hearing things this morning or has MMM Newcastle started using an AI voice for local weather for unstaffed times such as 6am Sundays?
Sounded like a network-wide national news at 6am (Sunday) read out by a person, then after the news I swear it sounded like an AI voice that read out the latest Newcastle weather, forecast and a live read ad?
Iām pretty certain they wounāt have DJ staff in the studio 6am on a Sunday so I suppose it was better than no local weatherā¦ it just surprised me.

Itās been done for about a year now. Used to piss us off as we were in studio and able to do live weather.
