New Zealand TV

Vodafone TV streamed the plus 1 channels, I don’t see why Freeview cannot do it tbh.

The Feed goes to air every weekday on TVNZ 2 from 3.30-5pm. I may have noticed that programmes that screen in The Feed have a customised programme return graphic (PRG), which includes the classification and a ‘CC’ (closed captioning) icon instead of the ear icon, as shown below:

An ear icon usually appears on screen at the start of programmes with captions for the deaf and hard-of-hearing. Captions are produced by Able with funding from NZ On Air.

What do you reckon?

Noticed Sky have been showing non-All Blacks international fixtures live on Prime this year. They showed both Maori All Blacks games live and are now showing the Black Ferns game live.

I am wondering if SKY is going to air live free to air All Blacks matches on FTA channel Prime anytime soon?

Yeah still NZ teams though

Sky has been broadcasting the All Blacks’ international fixtures live since 1996 and Prime’s coverage of the test matches, ‘live and free’ for the first time in 27 years, is yet to be confirmed. Up until then, we can only show delayed coverage of the All Black tests on a Sunday lunchtime instead of a Saturday evening.

The last time the All Black tests broadcast ‘live and free’ was in 1995 when TVNZ secured broadcast rights.

Hard Quiz, hosted by comedian Tom Gleeson, debuted on TVNZ1 on August 25. The quiz show is a spin-off of Tom’s “Hard Chat” segment on the satirical news show The Weekly with Charlie Pickering, both of which air on the ABC in Australia.

Based on synospis on Freeview online guide, TVNZ’s broadcast started from season 4, which premiered in Australia in February 2019.

Surprised the show hadn’t aired earlier over there.

It is intended that the new, next-generation Sky box will be released by the end of the year. The rollout was delayed due to supply chain disruptions and computer chip shortages and according to RNZ, Sky hoped the investment in new boxes would help it stabilise customer numbers and revenue streams over the next few years.
