@OnAir SENZ launches next Monday (19 July) and the full week’s programme schedule (including nights and weekends) is yet to be confirmed, so good things take time.

Will be interesting with one half of their drive show (Kirstie/Rikki) in Tokyo for at least the first 2-3 weeks of the station. Seems like it is a bit of a mess.

@OnAir In addition to their SENZ commitments, Kirstie Stanway and Rikki Swannell will cover the Tokyo Olympics for Sky. Also part of the Sky team will be Kristina Eddy and Storm Purvis.

Sure does, and if the media event was anything to go on if anyone needs a co-host (or 2) it’s Beaver… anything Hutchy asked him was just “ermmm , girls?” or a repeat of what the other hosts had said. :laughing:

SENZ will fail. No real leadership, fallouts already, and hosts that aren’t natural radio presenters. It won’t work.

What?!

What do you mean what, Paddy? The evidence is stacking up. SENZ is going to be a failure.

@LiamP You are absolutely right.

Bree & Clint covering for Fletch, Vaughan and Megan on ZM for the next two weeks.

Managed to catch them live for most of the show, and you can really tell how ad heavy Australian breakfast radio is. First ad break was just before 6.30

Pretty sure this is first time that the Drive show has covered for Fletch, Vaughn and Megan since they have been at ZM. It is usually a fill in announcer doing a best bits set up. Used to happen in the Polly and Grant era but not since.

who is doing drive with B&C moving into breakfast for a fortnight?

Georgia from the day show has been doing drive since last week. No best of Bree and Clint though like usual, more of a music based shift.

Kinda weird eh? you’d think they’d less want to lose listeners to Sharyn & Jayden since it’s a reasonably new show. Then again when I last heard Sharyn & Jayden it… wasn’t great so maybe zm have nothing to lose.

Also school holidays so a fair chunk of their audience will be out of routine with no school drop-offs/pick-ups etc (remembering ZM does target 18-39) due to school holidays over the next fortnight.

weird how on my facebook feeds i get survey invites from all the major radio stations ie coast/the sound/gold tell us what you think and
you get cash incentive
do they actually take on board what we the listener says?

The second of the New Zealand commercial radio surveys for 2021 will be released tomorrow (15 July). In my opinion, it is intended that Newstalk ZB remains the number one radio network in the country and that Mike Hosking’s breakfast show is the most popular.

shows a lack of serious competition if that is the case
