I just heard that Flava also changed its some of its stations ID too today… Im guessing Flava could change to an old hip hop station… just saying.

Flava logo changed on their website.

Old school hip hop and RnB from what I’m hearing.

Guess they’ve never been able to topple Mai directly so why not wind the clock back.

must admit i didnt think NZME could pull off putting gold to air without a lot of fanfare but am surprised…it is like Hauraki was like until the late 2000s
i am finding i am listen to them a lot

Im guessing Flava is set to change its music playlist to Old School Hip-Hop and RnB.

Flava channel on iHeartRadio has a changed look with the logo and slogan “Old School Hip Hop and RNB”. The sister channel “Flava Old School” on iHeartRadio is also removed.

Update - 12:20am NZST: Flava has removed its station IDs except its Flava OG ad, we could be getting changes with a new VO I believe.

Their throwback Thursdays must have been getting good feedback. Personally I don’t think it will make me listen more, but I might steal some older listeners away from Mai FM. A decent breakfast show would do wonders as well

NZME should try and get Nate Nauer for Flava (ex Mediaworks, he either left or was sacked from Mai FM at the start of the year)

The new Flava promos put emphasis on Auckland. Are they no longer received in other markets?
