New Zealand Radio

What’s the plan with journalists? Will they all remain at Flower St (even the ones tasked with radio specific roles)?

That’s a hell of an upgrade. Any pics outside of the studios?

@OnAir I never insult people regarding a pool of journalists - believe me. Three, Bravo and Newshub are part of the MediaWorks TV banner, as does the Flower Street building.

I don’t know what this means.

Must have cost a mint… which could explain the minty-green tones… I wonder if they’ll carry over the soundwaves too… mmm, peppermint flavoured licks.

Thanks for sharing the pics!

There is a new Maps listing but its incorrect I think its no 17 not 15 judging by these renders and web link

Will the edge and the rock move too? Their studios reflect the stations quite well though… shit.

Yes, all MediaWorks Radio brands in Auckland are moving into one building. New studios for all stations.

Maybe AM Show should move to these studios… it wouldn’t look much worse than their current setup? Give it a RNZ checkpoint sort of vibe

i just got this Pop up on facebook

Nice! They’ll find success with this one.

Dubbed Gold, the new NZME-owned radio station will feature a hybrid strategy that combines a greatest hits playlist on FM frequencies with a rural and sport element added into the Gold AM frequencies.

Wonder if this will be the end for Hokonui?

Just dived into that Facebook page - Gold will replace Coast on 105.4 in Auckland

I think it’s a good move as well. Especially the AM/rural element actually.

I think it’ll stay…it’s a strong brand but I could be wrong

I think it’s a good move too. But feel for all the Radio Sport staff who had their station shut down and jobs cut, only to have a new station setup a month later?

Ugh really? We already have Magic, we dont need another brand. I’m going to miss mix, hopefully it remains on iheart radio.
