Not really anything new to this story but Dom has given a comment to Stuff about the podcast being taken down by Mediaworks.
It’s pretty obvious that some people within MW were upset it was recorded and then published to begin with and then demanded it be removed.

GFK Radio Survey 2 results are due out today.
Seems the Today FM closure hasn’t affected things too much for MediaWorks besides probably saving them a whole lot of money

Too early to show in the ratings.
Bit of a dip for ZB but it had been rising last few surveys so probably expected.
Good book for Mai!
SENZ absolutely nowhere - 600 listeners at breakfast in the country’s biggest market. That cannot last.
Weird book. Mai did well, but unexpectedly, which means it will dip again next one as it isn’t a trend. Good for The Hits & Coast - both have seen increases recent books! But fairly average across the board. Sound & Magic not performing too well for MW.
Not listed yet, but the MediaWorks combo total for Auckland is 49.4… sum the MediaWorks stations that are listed and you get 46.0, which would seem to indicate 3.4 missing shares, ostensibly accounted for mostly by listening that was to either Today during the first part of the survey and Channel X after its launch.
Magic has made slight changes to its playlist (ie dropping most 1950’s music), so are starting to lose listeners.
In recent times, I have listened to Magic’s music and ‘turned up the feel good’.
When Magic began broadcasting in 2015, its commitment was to provide its 50+ year old demographic with a playlist of golden oldies from the 50s, 60s & 70s.
But now, times have changed.
Will be interested to see how magic goes moving forward with the new lineup ie gary mccormack on morning breakfast slot
It will be. I get the feeling Gary and Mark don’t like eachother much lol. It’s a pity they didn’t put Mark and Leah on Magic breakfast after Today FM ended.
I get for Auckland 47.5 which is 1.9 share missing (total shown 49.4)
Compare that to survey 1 1.8 share missing , 48.5 (total shown 50.3)
