It will be. I get the feeling Gary and Mark don’t like eachother much lol. It’s a pity they didn’t put Mark and Leah on Magic breakfast after Today FM ended.

I get for Auckland 47.5 which is 1.9 share missing (total shown 49.4)

Compare that to survey 1 1.8 share missing , 48.5 (total shown 50.3)
Very slight increase 0.1

It seems like Channel X have done away with “no ads” with 1-2 ads per block. They haven’t done the same as Brian FM, which seems to work their ads (or sponsor slots) in. Channel X just hitting play on the ads MW play on other stations.

Does this mean they’ll take the networked breakfast show as well?

Surprised to hear this. I thought Mike might have been moved to The Breeze Manawatu eventually.

Would be sad for Manawatu to lose local breakfast on More, but wouldn’t be surprised to see The Breakfast Club pushed into the market to save costs.

It would be sad, but definitely wouldn’t be surprised. Hopefully Mediaworks see the value in keeping Gareth either solo or with someone new. Manawatu is in a unique position with 2 local breakfast shows and NZ radio rules simply don’t allow that. One local breakfast show in a market per company, and that’s for the lucky markets :joy:

Must be hard for anyone trying to break into radio with network stations and only just mw and nzme providing these services

100% Breakfast on More is staying local in Palmy, there a plans to bring someone in with Gareth.
I too, did think that maybe Mike would move over to The Breeze at some stage but that’s not to be.
I doubt Mediaworks will be tinkering too much with the powerhouse that is 92.2 anytime soon.
