New Zealand Radio

They are still going local in the market, the positioned has been advertised.

seems a lot of the
old school announcers are either
retiring or made redundant
interesting to see what new talent
is un earthed
i guess with only companies
nzme and mediaworks
the openings are limited

Another change at Magicā€¦

Bob Gentil annouced tonight at the start of his show at 7pm that it was the penultimate "Gentil Nightsā€™ā€™ show.

Is he too retiring, or perhaps he is moving to one of the prime presenting slots (breakfast or drive).

In my view he has one of the best voices in radio. Especially for the target audience of the likes of Magic.

God - heā€™s been around forever and ever. Suspect the whole station is being restructured

He has worked in radio and television over the years as an announcer and voiceover artist, and is also a disc golf enthusiast.

interesting piece by tim murphy
online regarding today fm and how they are rating
compared to the juggernaught of zb
in auckland
today fm had a weekly audience of 29.700
compared
to zb 270.000 approx

he is pretty good
also does fill in
on the sound

i am picking mAgic will be totally
restructed next year
possibly fewer announcers

Paul Ego returns to radio with a stint of taking over The Breeze now until 4pm, of course, voiceover of Stickman from Pak N Save.

@Horomono Let me ask you a question. Is Paul Ego, in fact, the voice of Stickman from the PAKā€™nSAVE commercials?

@OnAir @nztv I guess so.

namely magic or
the sound where he used to be??

Hearing it may have been a cost-cutting measure. More to be revealed.
