Network 10 2019

I think their summer/early autumn line up includes Dancing With The Stars, Changing Rooms, I’m A Celeb, Bach in Paradise and Sunday Night Takeaway.

Many thanks @dominator

I really hope that whatever is planned for Ten come Summer time and next year works out. The network sorely needs some good ratings shows after MC and Bachelor finished and I really do hope their efforts pay off.

I guess you’d classify that as a mini-major logo change.
But anyway, all clues are definitely pointing at a logo reveal on Upfronts day, and I’m pretty sure I read changes on screen will be seen the following day (1st of November). Do we expect to see a relaunch campaign prior to this assumed November 1st change? To be honest, I’m not expecting any on screen chnages until the new year

I was thinking the same. But they don’t have enough content for their three channels yet so it would probably be wise to produce more programs or sign new output deals with companies like Disney or someone who’s younger skewing and get content out of that.

SBS was able to do it with Food Network and we all know how Your Money came about, so it’s probably unrealistic but still possible for something like that to happen in the future (one would hope it happens sooner than later).

I just hope the ‘ten’ logo will be retired.

Also confirms ONE is becoming 10 Boss and ELEVEN as 10 Peach

Boss… if this is going to be a male skewed channel, wait for the complaints
Peach…female because it’s a reference to a nice bottom? Men have nice bottoms too!

Bring back TenSD2, I say

Without going into too much detail, it can be debated whether Peach refers to a bottom or vagina. Much like the Nanny falling on her fanny  it depends on who you ask.

If thats the case, maybe 10 Peach could be the first FTA porn channel??? (Not including SBS, of course :stuck_out_tongue: )

Mmmmm. Well either way in today’s world it’s not appropriate to attach Peach to women and Boss to men and I think Ten will get some backlash…

Maybe I am the only prude on here ??

I mean… does that mean Seven are attaching Mate to men too then?
Women can’t have mates?

Ten Boss is the one that doesn’t sit right with me. If it is indeed targeted at males, what does that say about sexual stereotypes in the #metoo era? Further, what does the current CBS, embroiled in its own power-male scandals, think?

No point… There’s already heaps of free porn on the internet. So I’m told… Xtube, Redtube, PornHub

Mind you it would allow for some interesting advertising opportunities

I’ll need to check out those sites for closer examination :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Aside from possibly being one of the industry’s worst kept secrets, “10 Boss” and “10 Peach” sound like stupid names for the rebadged multichannels IMO.

I don’t mind 10Boss personally but Peach is a bit meh to me.
I quite liked ONE though, so it’s a shame that’ll be moved aside.

The use of “Boss” in media has an interesting heritage in the US.
In the 60s there was a style of radio called Boss. It seems there was also a different format using the same name in the UK

Check out this wiki article for some background

I don’t think it got much traction here.

It was obviously male skewed so the choice of name seems to be an example of CBS influence.
