Network Ten 2018

Footballers Wives was a UK series so this could be the Australian version of that show. The original was so over the top and trashy, hope they retain that same style.

Wonder what they will use to plug the holes on Eleven.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Big Brother US on Eleven when the next season starts in July 2018.

From mediaweek:

In mid-2018, Network Ten will introduce a special “pilot week”. For the first time on Australian television, several pilots of domestic shows across a number of content genres will go to air in one week. This exciting initiative represents a substantial investment in new local production. Full details of “pilot week” will be announced in 2018.

" A contemporary version of the iconic dating show Blind Date."

Blind Date will feature Julia Morris at the helm, with would-be suiters searching for their ideal partners. Each week, one single person will ask three hidden potential suiters three questions to determine which person is very right, or horribly wrong, for them. Expect sparks to fly and love to blossom, as Australia’s singles use sharp conversation and witty banter to find the right date for them. Blind Date is produced by Playmaker.

Anything on sport for 2018?

Just confirmation that everything they have now is returning.

Only things up for negotiation are Cricket TV rights sometime next year.

That’s lame. Just two comedies and a website?

Wait, is that it?

Um underwhelming much? Hardly anything announced.

Has HYBPA been on air all this year? It feels like it.

More:

Ten … has asked local production companies to fresh pitch ideas for new programs and formats. During pilot week Ten will monitor the ratings and social media feedback for each new program and may commission a series.

Good to see that tendaily is still coming so the network has more of a presence online and bigger digital strategy moving forward.

Sounds like a good way to get a weeks worth of free content if you ask me :joy:

So this is on a bigger scale than ABC’s Comedy Showroom.

The pilot thing is interesting, the sort of thing ABC did but don’t kid yourself it won’t be the same production companies we always hear about.

Where’s Wrong Girl?

and studio 10 coming back next year?

It sure does seem like it.

Yes.

Also coming back in 2018 are Gogglebox Australia, Have You Been Paying Attention?, The Project, Family Feud, The Living Room, Shark Tank, CRAM, Todd Sampson’s Body Hack 2.0, Neighbours, Bondi Rescue, Studio 10 and many more.

Wrong Girl should never have been renewed. With the ratings it had this year, I dont expect it to come back next year. But then again Family Feud was renewed.
