On the topic of ph numbers on tv shows… I noticed a couple of weeks back there was a ph number on Home and Away and I googled the mobile number and it was a business in Tasmania… I didn’t try calling it though. There was a ph number on Tori’s letter for her job but that when I googled was a fake number.
Fox already tried something like this back in the early 2000s.
Needless to say, it wasn’t very successful and only lasted one season.
I think I’ve seen most of the cast of That 70’s show on The Ranch since I’ve been watching it.
I saw some of That ‘80s Show (IIR Seven aired it in a daytime timeslot) thinking it would be like That ‘70s Show, but I did not like it at all. As someone that can stomach, if not enjoy, most general sitcoms, it was a rarity.
The Early 2000s was probably a bit too early for nostalgia about the 1980s? Might’ve been a better/more successful program had it come out a decade later.
From memory and I haven’t seen it since it aired, That 80s Show leaned in really heavily to 80s cliches and tropes whereas That 70s Show used it as a backdrop and intersected 70s issues but otherwise kept it as a sitcom that happened to be set in the 70s with a few obvious cultural restrictions.
SBS looked at subtitles in Squid Games as well as comparing subtitles to dubbing.

In the third quarter results, Netflix said it added 4.38 million subscribers to reach nearly 214 million worldwide.
Netflix also revealed the first half of the final season of Ozark would premiere on January 21 next year.
…and becoming only the sixth title to surpass 3 billion minutes viewed in a week’s span. It also marks the best title performance of 2021 in the U.S. rankings.
