A new court hearing for Erik and Lyle Menendez has been set for November 29, more than 28 years after they were convicted of murdering their parents and two weeks after their story was dramatized in the popular Netflix series “Monsters.”

Los Angeles District Attorney George GascĂłn made the announcement at a press conference on Thursday and said there has been new evidence discovered that the brothers were allegedly molested by their father, Jose Menendez.

Very timely given the series. Almost finished (1 ep to go) and surely there’s some sort of truth to the abuse allegations. I know it is very stylised and sensationalized by Ryan Murphy but surely there’s some exonerating factor to the murders. The level of abuse being alleged is disturbing and atrocious.

Pity, it was enjoyable, always loved Kitty and Red.

I felt it could have gone for another season.

At least it did better than its predecessor “That 80s Show”

Netflix must have a big button at their office marked ‘cancel’.

I have started watching this again. I found one episode really difficult to deal with so stopped for a bit.

In relation to this comment this was never told as a fact. It was told by a bitter man that was trying to get his attention from friends. It was presented as all fantasy. If a viewer can’t decipher that I find it a bit concerning.

Really enjoying this show at the moment, lots of unexpected comedy.
