Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki is officially an Emmy winner

Interesting. According to Peter Ford on 4BC this morning there were no Australian nominees.

Congratulations to Elizabeth!

I just finished episode one and wow Nicholas Chavez is one hell of a future talent. His portrayal of Lyle is incredible. Big things for this guy coming I would say.

Edit: up to episode four. What the actual f. Why are they being portrayed as lovers? So many shirtless scenes and nude scenes and Erik being gay.

Ryan Murphy is obsessed with gay story telling. Normally that would be okay but this is meant to be a real life story. These events were never told to have happened?

Well it isn’t really a surprise a gay man like to tell gay storyline’s.

Sure but you can’t just add them into a real story when they didn’t happen.

I haven’t watched it. Is it based off a true story or a biopic?

Because plenty of shows exaggerate for entertainment.

Edit I did a little reading. Obviously not around the case but it was something theorised in court too. Was thrown out though. But this often happens in these sorts of shows.

Apparently Eric knew he was loved by gay men so maybe it’s something Ryan grow up following?

All I know is the show is getting absolutely slammed online including from Erik himself.

Yeah I did see that. Must watch it now.

I’m enjoying the show for what it is. Especially Nicholas’ performance. Just fantastic.

Unfortunately, creative licence is happening more and more so a lot of shows and movies which are based on real lifeend up being more fictional.

This happened with the Melissa Caddick miniseries Vanishing Act which just had a fictional account of what was assumed happened to her after she disappeared.

Just watched the latest Glen Powell movie Hit Man which is also based on the life of a real person. In this case they actually tell you upfront that it is based on a true story but certain parts have been altered. Without spoiling it, they created a brilliant ending but after the credits roll, they tell you that they just made that bit up.
