Yes. That’s why I mentioned that in this topic. If you want Sydney News then Channel 60 has Seven News Sydney.
I suspect because they might have concerns it will take viewers away from the Queensland bulletin on Channel 9.
Why would you want Sydney news if you live on the Gold Coast?
“NBN News, brought to you by….” Sponsor board coming out of ad break into 9 News.
May appeal to ex-pats and tourists and can be received in Tweed Heads.
Serves a dual purpose. For tourists, expats and residents who live south of the border that want to watch a Sydney bulletin and also draws a majority of viewers towards another channel to watch Brisbane/Queensland news.
The Lismore channels can be easily received on the southern half of the Gold Coast with an antenna pointed in that direction, so there is that option too.
I cant wait to see tonight’s ratings numbers Seven Vs NBN
The new voice-over should be “Nine-NBN News, airing on the WIN Network, is brought to you by…” ![]()
They were airing Sydney’s afternoon news on weekdays, wonder if that will change from Monday
I think Nine will still win weekends since Seven don’t do local news on the weekend either (but be closer than before), 6pm weeknights will be more interesting.
“You’re watching Channel Nine, on Nine NBN on the WIN Network” ![]()
The (correct) “9 News - Your Local Forecast” billboard aired just before weather (even though it’s not really a local forecast).
No change to Northern NSW towns listed on the state weather graphic.
That’s a hyundai key that just wants to go home.
Can’t be arsed to do a local weather update of a weekend.
No one in northern NSW gives a shit about if it rains here in Sydney.
Screw you WIN and screw you Nine.
Eh… Grafton is on there.. So I consider it local
Compared to Seven which has Glen Innes in the DAMN way of our temp. Can’t win up here lol.
I find it odd that both Grafton AND Coffs Harbour are there when they’re only 80 kms apart, but no Taree / Port Macquarie or Tamworth or Lismore.
