My Life Is Murder. Season Two Premieres Wednesday, 5 October At 9.00pm On 10 And 10 Play.
10’s hit murder mystery, My Life Is Murder, starring Lucy Lawless, returns for a second season from 9.00pm Wednesday, 5 October on 10 and 10 Play, and this time we’re going trans-Tasman.
My Life Is Murder sees Alexa Crowe (Lawless) in Tāmaki Makaurau, aka Auckland, doing what she does best; discovering the secrets behind the most baffling of crimes and protecting her sourdough, mostly in that order.
Joining in on the fun this time and zooming in from the U.S. is acting legend William Shatner (Star Trek, Boston Legal), with New Zealand’s finest, Martin Henderson (Grey’s Anatomy, The Gloaming), joining as Alexa’s brother and Ebony Vagulans returns as Alexa’s unlikely sidekick, Madison Feliciano.
Jay Ryan (Beauty And The Beast , Neighbours) Ben Barrington (Offspring, Shortland Street) and Ru Paul’s Drag Race Down Under winner, Kita Mean, will also make guest appearances across the season.
Acorn has announced that season 3 will premiere in Australia from October 10 (same date as USA) with the first two episodes, with double episodes streaming weekly.
Season 3 premieres on 10 on Wednesday 15 November 8:45 PM

Not surprised. They did the same to season 2 last year.
Surprised it’s taken a while to report this, was quietly announced at TVNZ’s upfront event last month.
EDIT: season 4 premieres on TVNZ 1 this Sunday (April 21) at 8.30pm.
According to @aarontvcentral, 10 no longer has the rights to the series.
I think Nine bought the first two seasons from Acorn TV, which is the international distributor. A few dramas from Acorn have aired on 9Gem in the two years.
I’ve watched a few eps of this (on the Drama channel in the UK) and I quite enjoy it. Nice to whet the appetite for Kiwi murder mysteries when Brokenwood isn’t on. I only have one qualm and that is with Lucy Lawless’ sidekick… she is so bloody irritating! I don’t blame the actress because that’s the material she’s got to work with, but the whole “hey look at the quirky sidekick!” is kind of silly. There was a different sidekick in a couple of episodes who was much less annoying.
The first three seasons of My Life Is Murder are now on 9Now. I wonder if the fourth season will end up on 9.

Noticed that 10 are airing repeats of S02 in the afternoons at 1:30pm on BOLD from today, taking over from Charmed.

Profour (Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia) has acquired series 5 of My Life is Murder starring Lucy Lawless.
My Life is Murder series 1-4 has also been acquired by BBC Studios for Poland and TV3 Group for Latvia
Season 5 premieres on TVNZ 1 on Sunday, August 3 at 8.30pm.
