So again Gianni and Zana would cook last on the instant restaurant stage. Given there were three Victorian teams in the top 5 I thought the producers would have them hosting instant restaurant one after another.

Yes, I suspect that the ultimate instant restaurants are NOT being filmed in the same order as they are being aired… eg. Unlike the earlier instant restaurants, there haven’t been any references by contestants to other hostings… eg. no one last night was comparing Mitch and Laura to Tasia and Gracia…
Whilst they’ve said that Carmen and Lauren are hosting tonight, I guess they have filmed alternate endings for the episodes so they can swap them around depending on how people go etc.

The TV Week guide has the show on Monday-Wednesday next week (April 25-27) from 7.30pm to 9pm but Wednesday’s episode is not labelled as grand final. Could there be a preliminary final?
What rotten luck Gianni and Zana had at last night’s restaurant to get hair on three of their dishes, so serious that Pete had to reveal it to Mitch and Laura just before scoring. Still Zana’s reaction was exaggerated. Mitch and Laura’s menu was ambitious and could have got a higher score if not for a cracked pastry for their porcini and caramel tart, forcing Laura to deconstruct it.
MKR always completely wraps up filming by December the year before it airs. This has always been the case.
I’m sure there is some level of out of order filming in the earlier rounds too. It would make sense if they are doing 3 rounds for them to film all the rounds from the same state back to back together, rather than lugging different film crews to different states and all the transport costs. Who knows when the teams commentary is given either (it could be after the conclusion of the round, and just put on the same clothes as they did on the night) to make us feel like they know who is ahead or behind.
Check the Seven Schedule for next week - now advised that no MKR on Sunday or Wednesday next week.
Perhaps they are dragging it out as much as they can. Probably not a good sign for House Rules. They might lose some viewers at 7:30.
So it’s almost official that the grand final will be on the first week of May.

The first three instant restaurants were filmed in the correct order. In tonight’s episode, Manu asked Tasia and Garcia what was it like to be on top of the ladder, then Mitch and Laura lamented the pressure got on to them and they wanted to see how Carmine and Lauren would perform in the kitchen.
Looks like he is wearing a shirt with cow style polka dot pattern.

I wanted to know also why he wore that shirt to such an occasion. It was more suitable to a dance party.
It was more suitable for the trash. I’m surprised no one went up to milk him. He could have come in handy for Laura yesterday when she had no cream.
