AC/DC this morning announced its Australian tour. The band will play at least five concerts nationally in November and December, including at the Supercars finale in Adelaide.
Last week, OneRepublic dropped a remake of the Supermen Loversâ 2001 hit âStarlightâ, retitled âStarlight (The Fame)â.
Hope this becomes a radio hit here in Australia!
Meh. Was this song begging to me remade with different lyrics? I think not.
About time IMO, we canât have the likes of âIrisâ by Goo Goo Dolls and âMr Brightsideâ by The Killers stay in the charts rent-free (even though I have nothing against those classics).
I also believe âLose Controlâ by Teddy Swims is about to reach two years since it was released (if it hasnât already).
It will also prevent seasonal music (like Michael Bubleâs Christmas album or Mariah Careyâs All I Want for Christmas is You) from appearing in the main charts again.
Thatâs good news. Itâs crazy to see the chart flooded with so many old tracks.
There, fixed it.
Yeah, âapproved by Godâ. And Iâm sane.
Benson Booneâs latest album American Heart has debuted at number one on the ARIA Charts.
On the singles chart, Ordinary by Alex Warren holds top spot for another week.
Meantime, Kelsea Ballerini has announced that she will be returning to Australia in December for a run of three shows on the East Coast. This means a pair of American country artists would bookend the year, Luke Combs having graced our shores back in January.
Israel Defence Force may have committed atrocities against Gaza civilians, but chanting âdeath to IDFâ at a major music festival, where hundreds of thousands of people will be watching (either at the concert or via TV) is just wrong.
FAFO.
I read that as they remixed the chants of âdeath to IDFâ and played it at Glastonbury.
Donât encourage them.
bring back this onerepublic
(also i love the OG starlight, but dunno about this version)
I listened to starlight and oh itâs baaaaad, thank goodness at the footy they played the original, better version.
American rapper Kanye Westâs Australian visa has been cancelled following the release of a new track.
West, who legally goes by Ye, dropped a song titled Heil Hitler on May 8, coinciding with the 80th anniversary of Nazi Germanyâs defeat in World War II.
Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke confirmed the cancellation, saying the song was the tipping point.
Burke said the visa wasnât for a concert but was considered a âlower levelâ type.
