I loved watching the Andre Rieu Macarena performance!
.@jane13barnes here with âOur Jimmyâ update for all you well wishers sending in #positivity. Day 3 post op we had a few walks up and down the hall way, 250m Iâd say. A tough & fragile day but hereâs a big brave smile for us. Keep up the good work Jimmy. #PERSEVERANCE pic.twitter.com/voXiM0C6fI

Does anyone else find the Spotify âShuffleâ algorithms to be quite woeful?
For instance, I have a playlist of about 500 songs (with about 200 different artists in it), and it will frequently play the same song again 10 songs later, and often keep playing songs by the same artist in that playlist.
Itâs not great, I have the same issue. There seems to be a loading issue or an algorithm that circles back to the same tracks.
Speaking of algorithms- the Spotify AI DJ is kinda intriguing. Used it a few times and has played me some interesting stuff but other times itâs been way off
thatâs good to know itâs not just me⊠thanks⊠I would have expected better from Spotify in this day and age
Iâll have try the AI DJ⊠wonder if there is an option to have it announce songs etc so it sounds like more like a real radio DJâŠ
The DJ does do that. Not every song but itâs kinda scary how realistic it sounds. Also addresses you by name.
I think that will be the future of radio (somewhat sadly) though.
Online, customisable, eg choice of voice, music, other content eg. news updates etc.
In Australia, Jack Harlowâs Lovin On Me is the No.1 Christmas single of 2023 on the ARIA charts, with Mariah Carey at No.2.
My favourite Christmas song is âMerry Christmas Everybodyâ by Slade (for anyone old enough to remember them). As they saying goes âItâs not Christmas until Noddy says soâ.
On this weekâs ARIA Singles Chart:
- âMr Brightsideâ by The Killers has reached a new peak of #19, more than two decades after the song was first released.
- âI Ainât Worriedâ by OneRepublic and âHeat Wavesâ by Glass Animals both re-entered the top 50 following the Christmas period, charting at #24 and #38 respectively.
On this weekâs ARIA Singles Chart, âMurder on the Dancefloorâ by Sophie Ellis-Bextor has recharted at #25, more than two decades since the song was first released.
Elsewhere, Ariana Grande has dropped her first new song in more than two (maybe three?) years, titled âYes, and?â.
Ava Max and David Kushner will also drop new songs next Friday, titled âWhateverâ and âSkin and Bonesâ, respectively. The former song samples âWhenever, Whereverâ by Shakira.
Probably because of Saltburn.
Indeed it is. Number 10 in the UK last week and also 98 in the US
Its had a bit of a resurgence globally (not sure why, is it on trending tiktoks or been in a TV show recently?)
@bacco007, I have found this ref from NBC Today
âSaltburnâ made this 2001 dance song go viral. How the singer reacted to her unexpected hit
Basically the source tells us that Saltburn revived Murder on the Dancefloor.
Without giving away any spoilers, a character in Saltburn does a full frontal nudie dance to Murder on the Dance Floor.
Although this movie was in cinemas for a short time and quickly went to Prime Video it already has a huge cult following. Some very risque scenes are already legendary.
In the film saltburn.
I mean, I bought that album for $1 6-8 weeks back at a Good Sammy
