Some movies should not be remade. It can either be a successful reimagining like A Star Is Born or it can be massive flop like Footloose.

In my mind, The Bodyguard is a classic that shouldn’t be remade but if they do, it’s way too soon to do it. Maybe in 10 or 20 years.

Movie lovers can purchase tickets to Throwback Thursdays classics like Pretty Woman, Moulin Rouge, and The Emperor’s New Groove , and Fan Fave Fridays including much loved Disney classics: Moana, The Lion King, Princess Diaries , and Home Alone 2 .

For the first time, the public will have the option to book tickets to The Park, a section of the Disney+ Drive-In for couples to enjoy films from a picnic setting complete with bean loungers, table service and dedicated volume controlled radio hire.

James McManus, Creative Director of Pedestrian Group, says: “Openair Cinemas’ award winning Disney+ Drive-In is back for round three to keep delivering the proven ‘new nostalgia’ our audience wants, and is destined to sell out along the east coast as we reintroduce screenings under the stars.”

No Time to Die is the highest opening film in Australia since December 2019’s Jumanji: The Next Level, and sits only marginally behind Spectre in 2015.

Ever been to the “wrong” movie?

Well that happened to me today… I was meant to be in Cinema 2 at Event Kotara to see “No Time To Die” and somehow ended up in Cinema 3 in some Cleopatra film with Dwayne Johnson in it.

I am now rebooked for the next session which is only a bit over an hour away, though it’s V-Max and costs an extra $5.

About to repark the car to get another 2 free hours.

Why didn’t you just get up and go to the correct cinema once you realised it wasn’t Bond?

Because I had already missed 15 mins of it.
I wanted to see the whole movie.
The other movie started a bit later.

Gee you must have been sitting in the cinema for ages before the previews even started.

I went and did other shopping. It was no big deal.

No I meant the cinema you accidentally went in first.

You said you missed 15 mins of Bond therefore you must have been in the first cinema a long time before previews and the movie started when you realised it wasn’t Bond.

About 20 minutes all up - including previews, the “wrong” movie must have started about 10 minutes after the Bond movie did.

Yes.

What’s even worse, in the rush to get up and go to the right cinema I left my keys in the original seat so had to go groping around for them in the dark during the following session a couple of hours later.

Oh goodness, hope you found them okay.

Saw no time to die yesterday. Somewhat formulaic (but most bonds are)

I’m a big bond fan and I’m still a little unsure about it. I don’t want to give to much away but the last 10 or so mins left me cold.

Also, screw PVO who tweeted a spoiler for the movie with no spoiler tag. He got ripped to shreds in the relies, so much so he deleted the tweet. I did see Media spy’s own @Leo_Puglisi6 also respond as well - much more flattering than I would have been had I not seen the film.

I saw it on Friday (2nd time lucky!).

I agree, I’m not sure about the ending either… it’s going to raise a lot of questions.

As for the rest of the movie, it was okay but I’ve seen better Bond films.
My favourites are For Your Eyes Only, Moonraker and The Spy Who Loved Me.

I enjoyed it more than I have any other Daniel Craig Bond movie (except maybe Casino Royale).

I just hope the future of the universe isn’t a heap of different spin-offs now that Craig is out.

It’s most likely going to be another reboot when the new Bond is cast and the timeline of the Craig films will be left with No Time To Die.

I just returned home after seeing No Time to Die this afternoon. Like Radiohead, I am not sure about the ending either. Apart from that, the movie was generally good.

the introduction of daylight saving

Blaming something that was introduced in 1971 for the demise of your business in 2021? hmmmmm.
