Back to the Future seems to be on every streaming service
It is on every single streaming service except Netflix. (Possibly to be expected, not alot of 3rd party stuff on netflix)

The Harry Potter reruns on 9Go (originally played all movies on Channel 9 as ‘Harry Potter Saturdays’, which ended some months ago) finally finished tonight, with The Deathly Hallows Pt.2 finishing up at 10pm AEST.
7flix seem to be airing the Tom Holland Spider- Man movies beginning yesterday with ‘Spider-Man Homecoming’. Looking at the EPG, they will be airing Far From Home next saturday.
This does raise the question, is there the possibility that No Way Home will get its FTA premiere? It has been nearly 2 years since the films release (Fast 9 from 2021 got its FTA premiere a few months ago) and the pattern seems like there is the chance.

Nine midday movie Thursday 3 August
IT Chapter 2 [WB] premieres on 9Go! late tonight. The first IT (2017) premiered on 7mate a few years ago as well as the original 1990 two-part television movie (often mistaken for a single original actual movie) with Tim Curry, a young Seth Green and the late Jonathan Brandis & John Ritter re-ran on 7flix when the first one was in cinemas as a cross-promo. I watched them all, including seeing both re-boots at the cinema (both by chance) and they’re all pretty good, especially the 2017 one.
Meanwhile, 9Gem deciding to air another recent Aussie movie and local box office hit The Dry tonight head-to-head with Channel 7’s much publicised first run of John Farnham: Finding the Voice which was also very well received earlier this year.
9Gem is showing The Dry tonight, in anticipation of the release of its sequel Force of Nature in a month’s time. However, the release of The Dry 2 has been postponed indefinitely due to the US actors strike (Eric Bana, who stars in both movies, is a member of SAG-AFTRA).

Two M:I movies head-to-head tonight on Channel 9 (No. 6 “Fallout” and last available) and Nickelodeon (No. 4 “Ghost Protoco”), I don’t think a good move at all from 10 there. As latest still running in cinemas. I think 10 might also have the first 3 now too. Seven still have No. 5 “Rogue Nation” aired recently.

Also 7mate in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide starting this Saturday’s movies earlier at 7pm, dropping Border repeat, could be a result of very poor ratings this year and/or to give the later movie an earlier start. However not on main channel in Brisbane and Perth, where Border is now important and does rather well.

Nine giving the ol Shawshank a re-run this Saturday in AFL markets at an unusually early 7:30pm time, will have to be a very edited version.

This seems like a repeat of earlier this year, with 9 airing all the Fast and Furious movies (in anticipation of Fast X) with 7 airing the entire series a few movies behind 9, then airing the FTA premiere of Fast 9, before 9Go! reran the series again iirc.
M:I series has been airing since before the switchover (started 2ish weeks ago on 10Shake) . I dont recall 9 recently airing any M:I movies, maybe they just aired it to fill time? Or they are doing this to compete with Nickelodeon (nick@nite).

Odd scheduling by 7mate tonight for their “Thursday Funny Guys” promotion, putting the very MA15+ rated Step Brothers (2008) on at 8:30pm after the family friendly Simpsons (although that ep was actually M)… While PG rated Dumb and Dumber (1994) is at the late timeslot of 10:36pm!?

Also, Seven airing the rare unedited “M” version here, previously they’d (even in later timeslots) air the edited “PG” version (which was actually done by Fox here including for cinema release and VHS/DVD), however when Ten had it they’d air the M version. When Seven got rights back in 2018, they’d usually air their old PG master anyway, due to the film usually being given an early evening timeslot such as 6:30 or 7pm.
