Movies on TV

Well, should have checked. It was five months back.

Not sure why Seven air Love Actually so early, I mean not even December 1 until Monday, they’ve done this sort of thing over the years.

Perhaps it’s to tie-in to a ‘Christmas’ themed line-up with BH&G’s season final and last opportunity in-survey. Also could be timeslot availability due to cricket.

But it’s often one of the most watched films of the festive season and the year. Interestingly 7Plus’ December release hinted another playing around Christmas Eve/Day, going off the on-demand drop date.

Don’t they usually replay it on Christmas night?

I think Seven have done that for the past 3 years now.

First time the movie airs on Nine, it was on Ten previously.

The screening comes ahead of the release of Avatar: Fire and Ash in Australian cinemas on December 18.

Avatar premiered originally on 10

Off-topic but I wouldn’t give this branding a go off of one single attractive program.

The movie got 553k, second-to-last in the top 15.

A rare Wednesday night movie on Seven

Bloody amazing picture though, one of the best films I’ve seen the past decade if not since 2000 and easily in my Top 10 war movies, I’d even put it ahead of the All Quiet on the Western Front adaptations as the best WWI story.

Hopefully this is the right thread to post this.

ITV has put a trigger warning of “mild language and teenage misbehaviour” on Grease (streaming on ITVX), despite the movie being rated PG.

Yeah, that’s not a trigger warning, that’s just a warning.
Jog on, DM.

I think it’s PG and Adult Themes in Australia (possibly explaining the ‘teenage misbehaviour’ bit).

Seven classification warning from 2004:

Must be a record week for premiere movies (even if some of the 9Gem TV movies aren’t exactly new)

Surprised to see Avatar: The Way of Water premiere on 9Go!

A big week indeed for that week. A lot of movie premieres, including Avatar The Way of Water (also surprised that its on 9GO instead of Nine).

Good to see Stan’s Australian Christmas Movie - Nugget is Dead - gets an airing on Nine on Saturday December 20 - at 7.30pm.

Avatar: The Way of Water will make its New Zealand network premiere on the same day on TVNZ2 at 7:00pm next Sunday.

Given the context of a TPA special, it is reasonable.

Although one could similarly argue that special should be aired in the habitual timeslot to leave room for the franchise on back-to-back nights.

Has Nine aired a promo tying the two together yet (“7.30 Saturday on 9, then Sunday on 9Go”)?

NITV CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS

Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale has been a Christmas tradition for NITV for a number of years now. Glad that has returned this year.

Bush Christmas and Crackers are both listed for 7.30pm for Boxing Day. A mistake from NITV’s press release?
