He’s really horrendous in his coverage. Doesn’t really offer much at all except bullshit.

You Aussies are an easy wind up.

Yes he’s (Ted) British but that’s a fair opinion to hold, even if I disagree with it.

Team orders and whether they are enacted or not are part of F1.

And sadly, it’s the most reasonable outcome to ensure McLaren wins the WDC

Definitely

As much as it sucks for Oscar, his path to the championship is substantially harder than Lando’s, so it makes sense to priortise Lando in this situation.

Losing the WDC from here would be a significant failure for McLaren - especially given they’ve dominated a lot of the season.

Yep, they’ve ended up in a real mess (although I suspect with the likely outcome that the team leadership preferred) but they’ve got to park it and put maximum effort into getting the best result

For the 3rd straight race running, Lewis Hamilton is knocked out of Q1. Very sad…

Not only that, he becomes the first Ferrari driver EVER to record three Q1 exits in a row.

Max Verstappen takes 8th pole position of the season and the 5th Abu Dhabi pole in 6 seasons.

Followed by the McLarens.

Three championship contenders occupying three top positions. Strap in, it’s going to be a wild ride.

1:22.207 is very close to the AD 2021 Q3 time.

Max Verstappen is on pole position for the final race of the season tomorrow.

Verstappen P1, Norris P2, Piastri P3 on the starting row. Norris will win the title with a podium. Verstappen can win his 5th straight with a win and Norris out of podium (finishes 4th or lower).

Race start: 12:00am AEDT tonight.

Abu Dhabi. The final race of the season. 58 laps.

Norris & Piastri: Fighting for their first. Verstappen: Pulling off one of the greatest comebacks in F1 history + fighting for a fifth straight.

Who will win the title? Lights out: 12:00am AEDT.

Norris has conceded the championship race. It’ll come down to Verstappen vs Piastri.

What are you talking about?

He doesn’t have a reasonable path to win at the moment under regular (i.e. no crash) circumstances since that 9th-place lap.

Sure, he has climbed up a few places and sensationalist wording, but that’s the way I’m assessing it.

He’s third in the Grand Prix and leading the Championship race.

Verstappen wins the Abu Dhabi race but not enough as Lando becomes world champion.

My ill-advised comment was based only on the thinking of whoever wins the race wins it, without considering required placement (Lando has to be 4th or lower). That wasn’t a good look.

Hamilton was the highest climber with 8 places.

LANDO NORRIS OF MCLAREN IS YOUR 2025 F1 WORLD DRIVERS CHAMPION. :trophy:

And McLaren gets the result they always wanted.

Hopefully by 2027 there’s another competitive team Oscar can jump to. Utterly wasted in Papaya.

Bass Coast Shire Council and nearby councils have launched a campaign urging the Victorian Government to keep the MotoGP at Phillip Island. The contract to host the race at Phillip Island expires after next year’s event.

You can sign the petition via this link.

Where would they take the Moto GP if Phillip Island were to lose it?

The Bend in South Australia? Or Sydney Motorsport Park?
