Another close results on Monday with Seven one point clear of Nine in network and main channel shares with the 7.30 time slot especially competitive.

It was the final of the Lego Masters Grand Masters season with close to 600k tuning in for the “Winner Announced” and 576,000 for the rest of the final. That was a season-high result for the show though the lowest for any final of the franchise in linear viewing. Last year the final had 688,000 and 669,000; 2021 had 1,001,000 and 933,000 while 2020 had 1.43 million. The average linear audience was just under 500k for the overnights lifting to 560k in consolidated.

Meanwhile, the second episode of MasterChef’s season managed 557,000, well down from the launch. The result compared to the second episode of the previous season that had 436,000.

Seven managed to get two entries out of The Coronation Concert with 535,000 and 584,000 for the “Final”. The Concert Final ranked 12th in 25-54 with the rest of the show 20th. Nine got some good numbers for a 9pm viewing of The Concert – beating its commercial rivals as well as the 12 noon broadcast.

Earlier, Seven News picked up another win with a clean sweep of markets and a 200k lead over Nine. The Sydney result was that bulletin’s best result this year. That followed The Chase posting its highest audience of the year at 5.30 and 200k ahead of Hot Seat. Home and Away posted a rare +500k result.

Most of ABC’s line-up was on par with its usual results though Australia Story was down 50,000 on the previous week. ABC News did well to top 600k.
