Family Feud started production at GTV, GTV then cancelled production due to low ratings. TVW7 bought production rights and produced it at Dianella from 77 to 79, although produced by TVW, it was still shown in Melbourne & Sydney on Nine, BTQ7 Brisbane & SAS10 Adelaide. Ratings improved to a point that Grundy’s took production back to Melbourne to give the show a ‘national feel’. Seven Perth (and SAS10 which TVW owned) continued screening it in those markets because of existing rights to the show.

I don’t believe that’s entirely true. For example, SAS10 did not screen_ Family Feud_ even though it was produced at TVW7, its sister station. It was bought by ADS7 in Adelaide.
