Mock Schedules

#775

I actually didn’t mind your antiques walkabout idea. I just wonder if it could be a weekly show rather than a nightly one.

In a realistic schedule i think this is what 10 will announce in the coming weeks:
5:00 10 News
6:00 Judge Judy
6:30 The Project

If Judge Judy manages 300-400k it will stay put. If not 10 will probably try Sale of the Century. Athough I think 10 should really consider Come Dine With Me but look at having it just 4 nights a week. On the other 3 nights they could look at Sports Tonight (although I think it’s tainted and a Sports Project would be better)

With 10 announcing Celebrity’s renewal I think it will be back in January next year. So I have had a little think of what 10 could do at the back end of this year. I do think 10 should consider swapping this schedule I am about to make with the Celebrity schedule for the beginning of the year.

SUNDAY
6:00 Sports Project
6:30 The Project
7:30 How to Stay Married x2 IF at beginning of the year Masked Singer
8:30 NCIS

WEEKNIGHTS
5:00 10 News
6:00 Blankety Blanks
6:30 The Project

MONDAY
7:30 Come Dine With Me Australia
8:30 Have You Been Paying Attention

TUESDAY
7:30 Come Dine With Me Australia
8:30 Kimmie Tonight

WEDNESDAY
7:30 Come Dine With Me Australia
8:30 Australian Drama

THURSDAY
7:30 Come Dine With Me Australia
8:30 Taboo

FRIDAY
7:30 The Living Room
8:30 Graham Norton

Over Summer they could even try Celebrity Come Dine With Me Australia and have celebrities cook for other celebrities with the winner each week. Run it for 5 weeks. Each weeks winner donates to a charity

I think 10 has enough celebrity shows. Would much rather the original format over summer which is what makes it great with ordinary people.

An alternative could be like a champions of champions version where the top 1 or 2 from each week compete over Summer. if the original run was 8 weeks, then the winners series would run for 5 weeks

But the schedule I have just posted is over summer… With Celebrity again starting where it did this year, considering how well it did.

Sorry I thought you meant pre-Christmas…

Another option could be doing a short series around Easter when things end and there is a small window of time

I am talking about pre-christmas. Then in January you would have Celebrity again or swap the two. I don’t think 10 has enough room in the scheudle for your idea. But make a schedule up and show me how it could work or what you would leave out.

With the disaster that was Changing Rooms, here is what I would be doing for the next five weeks.

Sunday
19:30 Sunday Night Takeaway
21:00 NCIS

Monday
19:30 Dancing with the Stars
21:00 NCIS: Los Angeles

Tuesday
19:30 Ambulance Australia
20:30 Hughesy, We Have a Problem

Wednesday
19:30 Show Me the Movie!
20:30 Law & Order: SVU

Thursday
19:30 Ambulance UK
20:30 Gogglebox Australia

Friday
19:30 Changing Rooms (double episodes)

I would personally swap your Wednesday and Thursday 7:30 options. Firstly because show me the movie skews to a similar ABC audience at the time you suggested. And secondly ambulance would be a more mature audience for SVU.

So you’re writing off Fridays I assume? Double episodes 7.30 - 11pm will basically give 10 like a 3% share given the figures it did last night. Maybe a single episode dumped at 9/930.

That’s why a late local news service makes most sense for Ten. Air it at 9.30 after their primetime hour at 8.30. I’d still prefer local at 5.30 too but this could work as well.

5.00: Neighbours (replay on Peach)
5.30: Ten News First with Sandra Sully (National)
6.30: The Project
7.30: Reality
8.30: Comedy/Drama
9.30: Ten News First LOCAL

7:30 Sunday Night Takeaway
8:30 NCIS

I don’t ageee with moving 5pm news. What do you think 9 and 7 will do when that frees up?

#790

I agree that 10 need to keep a news service at 5pm, whether that be a local or national service but I could see them moving to a half hour service if there was a better use of the 5:30-6:00 or 5:30-6:30pm timeslot moving forward.

Just to let you know Love Island works for 9 in a stripped format not a once a week format.

Just an idea for the 6pm slot for the year when shows like Masterchef is on could they use the contestants to produce a 6pm show that showcases one or two contestants taking you through the steps of how to cook some of the favourite dishes from the week.

Then when The Bachelor is on you could show a before the rose segment and Survivor live from the Villa segment.

Not sure of how successful it would be and if it would cost more than its worth but it might be a nice alternative to News and it could help the reality shows reduce the load at 7:30.
