Meet The Press
How long has it been since Seven/7mate last aired this?
Decades ago, i assume. The most recent incarnation was on Channel 10, and it aired from 1992 until 2013.
10 has so many opportunities to return to this types of shows for Sunday mornings.
A few years since 7 aired the US version.
10 havenāt screened it since 2013 hosted by Kathryn Robinson. Prior to that Paul Bongiorno hosted it

Iām want to have a crack at 10
5:30: 10 News Early
6:00: Local Radio (10 partners up with one of the big Radio Networks (say Nova or Hit, as it fits the 10 Vibe) and simulcast their morning radio show on Ch10 (each city gets their local show, with all shows being streamed on the 10 App & Website). It is filmed and aired live, with live crosses to local 10 News desk for news updates
9:00: Studio 10 reboot/similar morning show (or Drew Barrymore / Entertainment Tonight until 10 can afford a local show)
11:00: 10 News Morning
11:30: Rerun of Previous Nightās Reality
13:00: Fun & Games Afternoon - US Game Shows (Lingo, Family Feud, WoF, Price is Right US , Jeopardy ect)
14:30 10 News Afternoon
15:00: Cooking Shows (hosted by the normal mix of Masterchef 3rd placers)
16:00: Bold & Beautiful
16:30: DonD (rerun at 6 pm on multi-channel)
17:00: 10 News Evening
18:00: The Project (or similar lighter news & panel/banter format with a studio audience, using āThe Projectā brand as a placeholder and loose comparison to the vibe I would look at for the slot).
** At ~6:30, the show will cross to the News desk, for a 2-3 minute local news update by the 5:00 News team.
** The Friday edition is longer at 90 minutes with a sports focus (placeholder title: āThe Sports Projectā) - general news is covered in the first 30-45 minutes with a sports focus for the remaining time (preview of weekās sports, maybe an in-depth human interest story on a player or a community sport league with an interesting story) - It would be especially perfect if 10 get major sports rights to lead into any Friday games.
19:00 (Mon-Thurs): Sale of the Century/Temptation
19:30 (19:00 on Sunday): Generally Flagship Reality
20:30: HYBPA/Cheep Seats/Other General Entertainment and other weekly shows, (ect) - Also (new) Headlines (weekly adaptation of 10N+ using that team)
21:30: Reality After-shows Shows (Example: Traitors UK; Uncloaked show, or BB UK: Late & Live (other similar shows) - they are streamed live 10App & Website immediately after the parent show airs and on podcast feeds next day / US Dramas of no after show
22:30: 10 News Late (National with separate Perth edition (for time difference)
23:00: Rerun of 6pm News Show
00:00: Big Brother Uplate (during BB seasons) - Feed of the house ~2 hours
Flagship Reality
- Celeb BB (replaces IAC (sorry Bobby Irwin fans, but budget-wise, itās probably better to consolidate around fewer franchises rather than having multiple shows that are similar (IAC is basically CebeBB in the jungle)) (6 nights a week, 6 weeks, Jan-Feb)
- Masterchef (4 eps a week, 12 weeks, Feb-April)
- Aus Survivor (regular edition - new cast, 7 week filming (2 nights a week, 10 weeks April-June)
- New Format Idea: Stand Up Show Down (working title - think Australian Idol, but Stand Up Comedy - Amateur Comics compete in comedy challenges and perform a set each week for the viewing public. Australia votes for a winner (not only would a format like this feel very Australian (we love being larikins) and very 10 (who give comedy the most focus of the 3 comerical networks), but it would good way to build talent for 10ās stable of go-to Comedians for HYBPA, the 6 pm show (if they include a comedic element, like The Project) and their other comedy, panel and celebrity shows), 6 weeks, 2 nights a week, April-May)
- Taskmaster (5 weeks, 2 nights a week, May-June) (more of an entertainment show, but listing it here because it should be promoted to a similar extent as a flagship show).
- BB (6 nights a week, 10 weeks, July-September) - with Thursday Night Games.
- Amazing Race (2 nights a week, 6 weeks, Sept-October) - Mixed Casting (Half Celeb teams/half civilian, teams from casting call)
- Aus Survivor (special shorter edition - some years it can be a shorter All-Stars (like Aus V World, or another format), other years it can be a short celeb edition) - it is filmed back to back with regular edition for arounds 3 weeks (3 nights a week, 4 weeks, Sep-October) - this slot can also alternate yearly with a Masterchef spin off (Celeb, All-Star, Desert Master, ect)
- New: Are You The One? Australia (2 nights a week, 6 weeks, Nov-Dec) - Offers 10 a spot on a Dating Reality show (a genre they havenāt returned to since Bachelo ended) with a corporate connection to AYTO as an MTV/Paramount property (if possible, they can co-produce it in a villa used for one of the other versions of the show).
- Returning: Traitors (2 nights a week, 6 weeks, Nov-Dec) - A cult favourite is back. It will return as a Celeb Edition, but future editions will mix in civilian players too (co-produced with NZ version to minimise costs, if possible)
Other Main Shows (generally 8:30 or 7:30 when there isnāt a flagship reality running)

Optimistic Hope
I hope that with this schedule, they get a winter sport (NRL or AFL) for Friday & Saturday Nights.
In my head trying to figure out how BB is running for 4 weeks with 12-14 housemates, and how 10 can program without News+
2 BB eviction cycles per week running from friday-sunday, and monday-wednesday allowing for 8-10 evictions in 4 weeks, leaving 2 final housemates in the finale (airing from November 3rd - December 1st I would imagine)
Each BB episode running for 90 mins with commercial breaks, allowing for 10 to protect the timeslots for HYBPA, Cheap Seats, etc.
I love this
Where is Deal Or No Deal?
Resting until 2026, Millionaire works better as an hour long show rather than being crammed into a 22 min runtime
I donāt mind this but can they turn around the edit on millionaire that quickly - they are only going into production in September based on the application form for that.
Also the BB daily shows being 90 minutes is a little long? Unless they included a studio component (perhaps to discuss events with a panel), it would be a big stretch to get 60 minutes of material from the day before.
Itās to make up for the faster eviction cycles, an episode would need to include fallout from nominations, some form of task, and then leading into conversations around whoās leaving tomorrow night, thereās a lot more content to include whereas before it was a weekly cycle with only 1 task and not a whole lot of stimuli in the house to generate content outside of robust conversations, it made more sense to have shorter daily shows.
But surely they wonāt have evictions in its first week of its airing though.
Weeks two to four, yes, with evictions on a Sunday and maybe on a Wednesday. So I get longer 90 minute editions there.
This is a massive drawback of the UK series, the marathon of evictions in the final weeks of the show make the first half rather tiresome to sit through as there arenāt any stakes to generate interesting content. I really hope they rip the band-aid off and just get on with the nominations, especially with a 4 week run, thereās really no time to wait.
Iām a Celeb in recent seasons have had many evictions in their final week. But I hope itās not the case for Big Brother. We should find out more info closer (youād hope) to the rundown of the series.
Iām thinking that they do something similar to what BBUK do - have around 5 weekly Sunday evictions (maybe a double or two thrown in there) and a mid-week twist eviction (towards the end), with around 4-5 in the house on finale.
With a cast of 14 that could work.
10 would obviously have Elsbeth/FBI/NCIS at 10pm as tHe lATe NeWS iS oN 10.cOm.Au fIrsT
10 in the new year:
