Mock Schedules

I think they were referring to Matt Burke, the Sydney/Queensland sports presenter instead of Matt White.

Agree with your second point.

I didn’t have anyone in mind myself, but would assume that it would probably be the Friday night sports presenter in either Sydney or Melbourne depending on which city would produce the program.

Both cities have good people. Perth could be another city it’s produced in given the time difference if they used a newsroom as opposed to a couch type format

Fox Footy (from 2025)

This mock is going to take some liberties with what the AFL fixture could look like from 2025. Game time will be reduced so that we can get a game away every 2.5 hours.

Monday
5pm: Fox Footy Live (Rotating Panel, filmed podcast style, should be similar to Sportsday)
7pm: AFL News
7.30pm: AFL 360 (Recap of the weekends stories)
9pm: Fox Footy Live (Repeat)

Tuesday
5pm: Fox Footy Live
7pm: AFL News
7.30pm: On the Couch (at least 5min analysis of each game from the previous week)
9pm: Fox Footy Live (Repeat)

Wednesday
5pm: Fox Footy Live
7pm: AFL News
7.30pm: AFL 360 (Preview of the stories of next weekend)

5.00pm: News
6.00pm: Game Show (Deal or No Deal)
6.30pm: Neighbours
7.00pm: The 7PM Project
7.30pm: Reality/ primetime

Would you do a previous days encore of Neighbours at 4pm to create a 1 hour soap bloc (eg an extra opportunity to catch up with your Neighbours) and would 10Peach air it at 6:30 as well (like they did with Family Feud at one point) or screen it from 7:30pm on 10Peach?

I’m curious as to your thoughts or whether you considered these possibilities

Rumoured DoND return - this is no my mock this is what I PRESUME will occur.

6.00pm-7.00pm Ten News
7.00pm-7.30pm Sports Tonight
7.30pm-9.00pm I’m A Celebrity
9.00pm-9.30pm Late News
9.30pm-10.30pm The Project

Came here to post.my.mock schedule, but you already did it :joy:

Practical and likely to do better than The Project dragging the whole night down.

Channel 10, in 2024:

Monday to Thursday:
6.00pm: Family Feud
6.30pm: The Project
7.15pm: Reality show
8.30pm: Variety(HYBPA, Cheap Seats, TGYH, Gogglebox etc)
9.30pm: New Drama / Comedy specials
10.30pm: Late News
11.00pm: The Prject (rpt)
11.45pm: Late show with Stephen Colbert

(Since all reality shows run way overtime, i thought id shorten The Project to a quicker paced 45 minutes long, and have the reality shows have a 15 minute head start to Seven and Nine. And have the 8.30 shows actually start at 8.30pm on the dot).

Fridays:
6.00: Family Feud
6.30: The Project (60 min edition; week in review)
7.30: Lifestyle (Ready Steady Cook/ Location Location etc)
8.30: Graham Norton
9.30: The Project Up Late (up and coming comedians, celebrity interviews etc)
10.30: News

I quite like this.

However, I think that the light entertainment shows (1% & Beat The Chasers) are better suited for an earlier slot. I know from that some extended family that 1% club in particular is a show that gets everyone of all ages around the TV to play along. Pumping that at 8:30 would close off that family audience.

Maybe they could fit in that Sunday 7 slot, or could be slotted into that weeknight 7 slot, during a run of a reality franchise that runs for fewer episodes (Say, SAS which I think typically runs twice a week for about 6-7 weeks. The other two nights can be a run of one of those light entertainment shows).

Then that Monday 8:30 slot could be used for something else (to spitball: maybe a weekly after show for the reality franchise (very British), or bigger hit UK or UK drama or maybe some comedy (rotate some stand up, scripted, and sketch comedies in the slot).
