Misses of 2017

It’s a filler

It’s still a proper show, mate, whether they use it as filler or schedule it in a prime position.

Do we agree that Liar probably isn’t a miss (yet)? However it didn’t set the world on fire. Next week will be telling.

500k difference to Good Doctor.

You have to at least see what happens with the second screening.

I’m reluctant to put The Good Doctor in the Hits list until its second screening too.

Agree about Liar.

But I would’ve thought 1.06m is a fairly safe number, that even if it drops, surely won’t go below 600k (which is a great number for dramas these days). If it does happen, that’s more than 450,000 lost audience

Though I don’t think that’ll happen, I expect it to hover 800k (give or take).

You’d think so but anything can happen and there are a lot of factors at play.

  • On Thursday it will have a weaker lead-in show.
  • Thursday is also generally a weaker night for ratings.
  • There may have been many viewers who tuned into the first episode to check it out but may not return.
  • Being an overseas show, It may have a few people downloading it rather than waiting for it screen.

This point is quite valid.

But the following three not so:

Really? But Good Doctor outrated the lead-in by over 250k!

All the more reason Good Doctor might do well (might be only good program on - espeically people channel surfing for one).

So if they could already do that, why did 1.06m tune-in to broadcast?

No need to nit pick. I’m giving you all the possible scenarios. Any or all or none could be a factor.
