Yikes! KIIS in Brisbane and Adelaide are disastrous. Time to pull the plug and launch Gold in those markets. Create a proper 5-station Gold network on FM - and not necessarily with CoC at breakfast outside of Melbourne because it’s not working in Sydney.
Christian O’Connell’s show made a big increase, up 1.3 from the previous survey, to be the No.2 FM breakfast show in Melbourne after Jase and Lauren.
Fitzy, Wippa and Kate suffered the biggest drop in drive (down 1.8) while Gold claimed the timeslot again.
ABC Melbourne continued its rebound, up in all timeslots against Mornings.

Smooth has no high profile comedy shows and no “forced fun” drive or breakfast shift. Just music, music and more music. Their overall share is 13.5%, its nearest FM rival is Nova on a 7.5% share.
Gold achieved the No.3 FM with a 7.4% share. It’s definitely Bronze 101.7. Mind you, only two years ago WSFM was rating a 10.9% and was the No.1 FM, Now that was genuine gold.

NOVA is the clear #1 in Perth but Gold and Mix 94.5 joining the Big Three FM stations
Its mind boggling how one station can be so far in front in a highly competitive market like Sydney.
AM 4BH equal second in Brisbane - surely someone has to notice and flip one of the FMs to smooth/gold?
2Day FM at Breakfast had a big boost (+1.1) when most FM shows went down except Smooth (+0.2).
The only thing i can think of is that the ad spend seems be with the younger demos. So with them, lower ratings might still mean more $$$?

In Brisbane, KIIS 97.3’s Robin, Kip & Coreyexperienced the biggest share drop in Breakfast, slipping 2.3% to a 9.9 and shedding 55,000 listeners.
They really never should have been brought back. It’s just a really beige and boring show.
There seemed to be a lot of movement in Brisbane at Breakfast this survey amongst the top FM stations. Will be interesting to see if this was a one-off or whether there is a significant shift.
ABC Perth’s share continues to drop after the conversion to FM.
Sydney’s breakfast:
2GB still doing well. Smooth not that far behind. KIIS only dropped 0.2 since last time, and is surprisingly doing alright with 6.9%.
