Because I know that Good Friday many people do not eat meat instead they eat seafood. But people can go vegetarian instead on that day.

Where’s the barbeque option?

Have revamped the survey with the barbecue! Sorry for not thinking of the outside things because I was all over the place!

Working for a cool $75/hr (it’s pretty rad when penalty rates still apply for an otherwise salaried role) then going to a party at a friends house (conveniently just across the road).

All you heathens choosing other can continue the discussion in the Media Spy After Dark thread.

But it’s not dark yet.

It’s not even 3pm yet as I type.

There’s more than one for me, but I could only select one - Dawn Service, which I think is the most important, but as I’m not an early riser, I’ve never been to one.

Another one not listed - two up.

I’m afraid ANZAC Day has become an excuse for many to piss up, play two up and punch on these days. You’d be forgiven for thinking people have totally lost respect for the day if you venture into a licensed venue on ANZAC Day afternoon.

It’s heartening to see young people learning about the significance of the day as they attend dawn services and marches across the country. Parents and grandparents need to be teaching them this is a significant part of Australia’s history before they’re brainwashed by the leftie socialists infecting our educational institutions with their agenda.

This is true

I’ve never been to a Dawn Service but I’m hoping to get along tomorrow morning with my 5 year old so we can teach him what it’s all about as he loves to learn all about those sorts of things. Such a wide variety he wants to learn, last night he learnt about boy bits and girl bits but then he also studies a dictionary he got for his birthday and reads all the different things in there or uses it to look up spelling of words… yes, he requested a dictionary for his birthday last week.

I was kind of like that when I was a kid… My obsession back then was maps and street directories. But not dictionaries.

Your son sounds like a great learner, which is fantastic!

It’s great but it does have challenges! He only started school this year and we got called into a meeting in the second week because he was already way, way ahead of where he should be - several years ahead in some areas but in others way behind so while we have tantrums over toilet seat colours (he refuses to go on anything not white) we can also have complex discussions about planes and other things and he wants to learn about things like the ANZAC’s which I love to see.
